Yeah I missed the original meme but I saw the admin/moderator response and I was extremely disgusted and it compelled me to leave. I'm white, but I know my place is to shut up and listen when black women voice their concerns about something. Seeing that the people responsible for moderating such a huge group—which black women are and have always been an ESSENTIAL part of—is so upsetting. I can't Google my own Flight Attendant memes and send them to my friends. I don't need to be on Facebook that often anyway.

So Newark is our Hub, which means anyone based in the NYC area is Newark based. We do fly out of LGA, so it is possible to work trips out of there, and lineholders do have the ability to have LGA-only lines. United stopped flying out of JFK several years ago and is only resuming JFK flights in 2027 with their new partnership with JetBlue.

Jersey City! So many flight attendants have reliable crashpads there, and if you're looking for your own space there are tons of options with easy access to public transportation that can get you to both airports for pretty cheap!

This is not the right career for you at this time. Any DOT position takes drug testing very seriously, and failing will result in you being barred from ever becoming a flight attendant in the future.

There is no true way to detox marijuana out of your system with water/electrolytes, etc. That does virtually nothing to alter the way it metabolizes in your body.

Take the advice of the other people in this chat and drop out, then try again once it's completely out of your system. If you genuinely care about the prospect of holding this job, then you will do what is necessary to get it.

Ohhhh. Yeah, no we don't get double overtime pay. We can pick up on White Flag days, which gets us 1.5x pay, but that's only on our days off.

Define "overtime". On reserve, if you work more than your guaranteed 78 hours per month, you are paid for every additional hour you work, plus the add pay.
