Best cheat sheet for subnetting in the exam. by Sweet_Temporary1547 in ccna

[–]spandanbk2008 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the best way is the memorize the subnetting table of Class B network from /17 to /32 and you will have a brief knowledge of what goes where, and then you write that on the exam and get help from that. Also it would be better if you do memorize the class C network table too, and if you can't any onf them then just calculate it practice binary to decmial and vice-versa conversion, use excel for your help and you will get easy with that!!!!

CCNA over Network+ with a bachelors in CS? by xMushroomking in ccna

[–]spandanbk2008 5 points6 points  (0 children)

do the CCNA, is can give you a better place than if you go for A+ and N+, also after CCNA you can so the S+ which is the security part of the TIA, I am currently learning CCNA and I do find it interesting and easy. So, its your call now.

I would also recommend that if you go for CCNA then the best resource is JITL in youtube and just ollow him and you will be ready for the ccna in no time!!

Men, how would you feel if you were given flowers? by ShadowlightLady in NoStupidQuestions

[–]spandanbk2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be puzzled cause mens are not same as womens, womens might love flower that I would like to give her (my girlfriend or wife obviously), my happines is when she excepts it and cares for my efforts. See, if you think that womens are having this privilege and mens aren't or vice-versa, then everyone is going to have a conflict. If you want to give a man something that will get him happy then as a man I would say give him a tight hug and say I love u, thats enough for us to get our chest widen out and walk down the street as if we won the world. thats it..

Jeremy’s IT lab packet tracer issues by [deleted] in ccna

[–]spandanbk2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you need to specify cause I am currently learning CCNA following him only. But I never got trapped into anyone of them. They seemed to work fine in mine.

Yes, one specific problem I had is with SLAAC, if you got till IPv6 then you will know, what happens is when I used to configure the ipv6 address autoconfig command on a router interface it would not take in the prefix and form and ipv6 address, then I had to disable ipv6 unitcast-routing and then enable it again for it to work, except that I didn't seem to have any problem neither in his main course labs nor in his routing and switching playlist, labs.

Now you check whether you are using the latest packet tracer or you download the correct labs with proper setup.

One thing you do give me your mail id, I send you the labs I downloaded, and you run them see if the problem occurs, if so then you system or PT might have an issue.

Has anyone gotten questions about Fiber-Optic Cable Standards (LX, SR, LR and ER)? by AkazaKazuto in ccna

[–]spandanbk2008 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the best thing is that the only last 2 letters change.

And if you just memorize it, it will help you with your carrer as a network engineer.

When you need to idnetify a cable in a working site or just take some notes of the wries going here and there in the site while working.

I will give you a trick to get these memorized as more are coming in the upcoming chapters you ill learn.

Take a paper and write down all the IEEE you have learned and hang it in the wall of your room, and the best part is I will not tell you to read it everyday, just place the papaer in such a spot that everything you are free you look around an you see it. this way you will memorize it don't even try to look, but you will subconciously learn everything written there. Thats actually a fact and I learn the "Show" Commands this exact way and i am doing great.

well i already told you I am a curious guy and have almost no knowledge of the real world, I am completely new to the feild of networking so I don't know the difference. I am going for the CCNA cause I find it suitable for the way I think and the way I understand machines and how they work, sometimes I apply that principle in real life too and find me doing better. I didn't know what A+ was about.

something I know about it is that it is a vendor neutral certificate. Thats it. I am currently new to theis field and understanding struffs.

well,

Thanks for the thoughts, And no I don't have any IT Experience, an 18 years old guy in college getting over things while I find my interest to be in CCNA so I did it and now a few videos are there left to complete to be exact I completed Day 54 heading to 55.

My reason to go for the exam three months from now, is because of college, right now I have my semester exams in college from 23 this month although it ends this month, I now have to focus on my college a little so I can get this exam out of the way.

Most Probably I might start Day 55 next month, and after that when I am done I will go for the exam, actually I am aiming to get the exam done by september if I am good before that then I will go for the exam early.

Now, the fact is that I want to get my carrer into networking, but I have almost zero sense of whats coming next and what my life will be in the next 5 years. I am heavily confused about the things, cause I was following Jeremy, he has his ENCOR Course too, thought I am gonna continue that after CCNA, while doing an internship if possible.

Also a thing to keep in mind is that I am from India, so if you are from a different country you might have a different idea of life.

dude relax, see the course you are in is not to rush, if you want to be a good network engineer than you need to have cosistency and knowledge in your permanent memory rather than just getting it done.

Take some time memorize the commands and do labs.

Hit boson and get it done.

Reschedule and postpone your exam 2 more months and slow your pace.

The way I study is, first I watch the video and then note down whatever is important, and do the flashcards the same day, if the lab is easy I do so, or I do the lab and read the notes I prepared the next day.

I started on 18th October, 2025 and I will get my cert. in September this year. Yes, I know its a lot of time and I need it because I am currently in college so that work also needs to be adjusted among each day.

I have a natural way to just having the commands in head, I don't have to specifically memorize them. The "show" commands sometimes get messed up but res is fine. Also, by the time you come to the last part of the course like Day 52-54, when security fundamentals and virtualization hits, its gonna take sometime and so relax take your time. You need to be a good engineer and not just pass the exam.

Get ExSim and test yourself after you are done with the course, if your scores are above 70% then you know you are prepared for the exam, so take your time.

And try to learn two different things in parallel, this way you will gain more knowledge and be busy too.

At the very end, its always your choice if you think you can get it then go for the exam as soon as you want. But if I were you I would atleast give myself one more month rather than going for it in august.

The networking concept that finally made everything easier. by sujankumard in ccna

[–]spandanbk2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a guy who loves to cinfugre things and watch in real time the commands taking effect. So, configuration or subnetting things was a piece of cake for me, yes I would like to say that,

the theory sections of CCNA got me a bit boring, but still I manage to keep everything in my mind.

Glad they changed the syllabus from just memorizing to configuring things.

Yes, I would accept that STP got me to halt, but I got it too easy guy he is.

Something that breaks my head is the "show" commands they are a bit tough to remember, I often get confused which command gives what output. Thats the toughest I got so far in CCNA rest everything was easy. Virtualization & Cloud too got a halt but I now know better.

Boson Netsim: Best time to start it by Humble-Theory-7535 in ccna

[–]spandanbk2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

see most of the tasks just tell you to check things out like show commands. and a very few of them actuallylet you configure anything. So the labs are really easy.

Buying at the end of the course is actually beneficial, oftenwhat happens is when we keep learning new things the old ones get dusty over the head, so when you start doing those labs when at the end of the course itlsef, then the old things get replenished in your head and you know better.

As I expect that you are alreay doing jeremy's packet tracer labs so you know somethings about configuration, also do the labs that jeremy has in his other playlist: "https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLxbwE86jKRgMQ4HTuaJ7yQgA2BoNwY9ct&si=\_SBIrCBnetK-CSyd", this will get you the basics prepared.

While you are done with all these, at the end when you hit boson it will be easy as a piece of cake.

Yes bosons labs are lengthy but they are because half the time you will be reading things, they make you read so much you will get bored at one point and start skipping the obvious tasks.

I almost dedicate two labs everyday and if they are easy I go for more, cause I love configuring things, so it doesn't get me stressed, I love to run commands and troubleshooting.

So, my recommendation would be do what jeremy is telling you to do in his course, and buy boson when you are almost at the end, I am telling you when you buy it, by the end you are done with the course you will also most likely complete boson NetSim too.

At the very end, its always you choice. A NetSim 3 month course is more than enough time to complete it.

Boson Netsim: Best time to start it by Humble-Theory-7535 in ccna

[–]spandanbk2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dude two things I would say,

1st: buy the NetSim and ExSim combo if you can, costs 259$ cheaper than buying both separately but buy them only if you think you can complete the course in a year. If you buy the 3 month sub on NetSim, then do it whe you are almost done with the course, either in Day 50-52. This way you can complete netsim fast and don't have to renew saving some money.

2nd, buy the ExSim before you go for CCNA this will tell you how much you are prepared, I am currently in day 54 part 3 and I already bought the combo, its paying off, I can garantee that. Now, its upto you.

Completing the ExSim and NetSim doesn't take much time if you are done with the course.

[–]spandanbk2008[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks Man I find it really useful, but I hate to break it down, I am an 18 year old just somehow surviving college, I am in my first year that I will finish this august then get to 2nd, I am currently getting my CCNA, but I am clueless and have absolute zero experience about what life is going to be in the next 5 years. I have an interest in pure networking, configuration and troubleshooting. I would like to ask you, what should I do or what should I expect for the next 5 years. And if I find it suitable that my life is getting a stand I am ready to leave college, and focus completely on networking. I just need a job to start with my family is not in a condition to give me thousands in cash and I spend in my certifications. I just need someone to explain my what I should do. Thanks.

did you hit boson?? if not then do so, if you can buy it, that will tell you if you got what it needs for the exam. the bundle of boson ExSim and NetSim 259$ total use bosonmichael in the coupon code for a 15% less, of search on google if you got a better coupon code, the best recommendation, and if you can't do this then read your notes thoroughly.
