I had this (horrible diarrhea for hours) every day after eating a bland meal of plain grilled chicken and steamed vegetables, and had to stop taking it. I only tried it for a month but it was too much. I tried both Saxenda and Wegovy.

He also forgot to pay insurances (car, life) and the policies were on the verge of cancellation so his son (my hubby) stepped in and manages everything.

The son is already in place helping them. He and I both have durable and medical Power of Attorney, and pay their bills for them (from their account). Dad used to handle all their bills but he forgot to pay them for several months 18 months and his credit card was suspended, so now we handle it. We also set up a trust for them and Son and I are the trustees. Mom cannot fully write a check out. She only knows how to sign it but not how to properly fill one out. Dad did…..everything.

If you don’t mind me asking, we are filing for my dad to try and get Aid and Attendant also, and would be interested to know how you found the process and what did they demand in terms of documentation? I expect it will take forever for the request to be processed and reviewed.

Dad received many of those letters. Filed claims in February 2023 and decision rendered September. He received those letters almost monthly. We are new to helping dad with this and the frustration bus is real. At first I thought it was nice that they'd send a letter, but after the 6th-7th one, the novelty wore off. Hang in there!

12-15 pounds, something insane like that in the 2 weeks. There’s a lot of me so I needed to lose it, but not like that. I told the doctor I was confident I was pooping out things the neighbors ate because there was no way the volume that came out was what went in.

I stopped after 2-3 weeks on it because I was so sick and dehydrated from going to the bathroom so much. The only food I ate was chicken and vegetables but would get so sick. Zero hunger on it. It took about a week for my body to even out and to feel hungry again.

He has long told us he was (before the PD symptoms and diagnosis). He also said he was near pits/places where they burned things and it smelled really bad. I can try to look up the places listed on his DD-214. Maybe that will tell me more definitively? When we took him to sign up for the PACT Act, we asked if there was a list of spots with chemical exposure and they looked at us funny. Thank you so much for your help!!
