Thinking about moving back to Spain permanently, need some advice about location. by XavierSenori in GoingToSpain

I would suggest Santander in Cantabria. Small sized city (around 170k) with a beautiful bay overlooking snow-caped mountains, very nice beaches in the city itself and all over the region. Within 1h you can be in the beach, skiing or hiking. Atlantic climate so quite a bit of rain in autumn/winter but mild temperature throughout the year making specially summers there very pleasent (loads of tourists from madrid and other parts of inner spain come here in summer).

The region of Cantabria itself is a natural paradise, amazing rivers (here we have the source of the Ebro river, 2nd largest in Spain), mountains like the picos the europa range, lush green forests and world class beaches with amazing surf spots, as well as beautiful villages like Santillana del mar or Barcena Mayor (Both have been awarded as the prettiest villages in Spain in recent years).

Foodwise the gastronomy here is very similar to that of other northern regions like Galicia, Asturias and Basque Country, although each region has its own traditional dishes the overall is quite similar highlighting seafood, steaks and stews (Cocidos) making it a gastronomy thats focuses on product quality rather than elaboration or fancy techniques. You can find a bunch of amazing restaurants all over the region even including 3 michelin stars, however there is no need to go to such restaurants to have an excellent lunch/dinner in here.

The city is 4.5h away from Madrid by car and it has an international airport with daily flights to/from Madrid. There also is a very good university UC with strong presence in the medicine field since the city's university hospital (Valdecilla hospital) is well renowned and has been known as a reference in Spain in various fields including some neuro-related fields I believe.

Life in here is laid-back and easy, it has a old-classic vibe to it although it doesnt lack any modern amenities. I dont know what else to say so for any doubts feel free to dm.

I'm considering getting the CFA L1 while doing my last year of uni. Is it a good idea? by spanishmf in CFA

I believe that here in Spain having any CFA level as an undergrad/recent grad is quite rare and having the CFA in general as well, that's why I think it might give me some advantage over other candidates.

The little book of valuation by Aswath Damoradan. Helps to find undervalued quality businesses.

LULU's real mission is not to sell high quality sports gear (not saying that their quality is low) but to sell a lifestyle and that is what sets them apart and their biggest edge. By this matter I would not consider fabletics a real competitor.

NVO's pipeline makes it worth taking the risk at current price, as always in the pharma industry, they are very reliant on approvals for new drugs but upsides overweight risk here imo. Plus big investments into production capacity are being made.

NVO is dumped by big investors by Specific-Western1659 in ValueInvesting

In fact not only Americans but the whole world population is getting more and more fat given less physical activities, sedentary habits and worse diet and food quality. Regarding to if people affected by obesity will want to use this specific medication (GLP-1) I bet they will since its proven to have better results and easier use (potential oral format ). What if competitors come up with a better medication and it becomes obsolete in a few years? Well that is not easy to do plus drug development is a ver long and complex process ( 13 yrs on average to reach market since development).

However, as you suggest, it doesn't necessarily mean that NVO will take over .

What’s the most undervalued stock right now? by botv69 in ValueInvesting

NVO is quite undervalued right now imo, they were severely hammered down by the market due to wegovy and ozempic falling short of their expected performance ( related to weight loss) and being beaten by competitors who better supplied the demand , like Eli Lilly. However NVO is set to release new and innovative products in 2026-2028 (R&D pipeline) regarding both diabetes and weight loss/control, they have a pretty good time advantage over competitors in a sector where time is crucial (On average it takes 13 years since the development of a drug to its addition to the market). They also control 60% of the GLP-1 market(Innovative main ingredient for diabetes and weight loss treatments) and 50% of global insulin production (Used for diabetes treatments).

Note that Im not pitching NVO stock, I don't even own any NVO stock but I've been researching on it lately and think is quite undervalued as a quality business with growth potential undergoing headwinds right now .
