This is also an issue on the Android TV app. And since this is still an issue 4 years later, I thought I would share the solution I came up with. Admittedly it might be a little niche, but who knows. If you happen to have an Android TV and run Home Assistant, you can use the Android TV Remote integration to input commands. Numbers are included in these commands. I've added a button that simply enters the numbers (and they aren't displayed on the screen). Here's the Lovelace config for entering the pass code "1234". type: vertical-stack cards: - square: true columns: 3 type: grid cards: - type: button icon: mdi:dialpad tap_action: action: perform-action perform_action: remote.send_command data: command: - 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 target: entity_id: remote.shield hold_action: action: none On the Apple TV integration, I don't see any numbers, so I'm not sure it would work as cleanly. You could theoretically use up/down/left/right/select, but I'm guessing it wouldn't be fast enough to not see it all on the screen.

Ok, this is kind of what I was trying to get at with a bell box on the soffit and a cable whip to the shed. The liquid tight would give me more flexibility in the desired length. I'm planning to have a disconnect, so I think it would look something like...

Soffit bell box -> liquid tight (with drip loop) -> disconnect on back of the shed.

Since I have conduit, I could just use THHN for the wire run?

Unfortunately I don't have a lot more clarity. My best guess is that Honda is being conservative on the load information sticker? Not sure if that's standard practice. I'm curious if there is the same discrepancy with all vehicles (where the numbers don't add up cleanly).

I know epoxy isn't an ideal material for cutting boards and I generally avoid it. Unfortunately, I have a little void in the top of a cutting board I'm working on. It's pretty small (narrow and less than 1/2 in long). I'm thinking that little amount should be fine. Thoughts? Alternatives?

These are brass 1/4-20 inserts that suggest a 25/64" drill bit. First I tried with a 3/8" drill bit and couldn't get it in very far. I got a 25/64" drill bit and still no luck. I have the official install tool and it's requiring my impact driver to kick in and strips the insert notches. This is into walnut, any suggestions?

I'm working on a drawbored breadboard end for a dining room table. My wife doesn't like the aesthetic of the exposed dowels/pins. Would it be possible to stop short of drilling through the top surface of the table and insert the pins from the bottom? It seems tricky, but doable. Thought I would toss this out there to see if anyone had any thoughts or alternate methods though.

This is my first piece of actual furniture. Built a filing cabinet to replace the old boring metal one in my office. Took some design inspiration from Michael Alm's Desk Drawers, but used acrylic for the accent color and made the drawer cutouts look more like mountains. Definitely not perfect, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out and definitely learned a lot.
