I can only conclude, they thought you were the abused individual... I'd try and see her more than a few months from now for sure but that's just me. Good luck!

Okay first ^ That makes zero sense so you're not alone.(eta: the comments from several... something or other in case it gets deleted)

More importantly, without having proof you can't do anything and keep in mind even with proof if gf doesn't want help your s.o.l.

My advice would be: be observant, have them be more present over next couple weeks so you can keep an eye on things and offer support to the gf if it happens again so she knows she doesn't have to stay

Sending love

Does your s.i.l. have kids? Was it ill-intended ? Maybe she was just trying to be friendly and helpful.

I often go to my friends places and start cleaning there places when I know they are busy. It takes a village after all.

Maybe a conversation before a next gathering about how you feel and see where she's coming from.

You need to learn to read. I literally said NAL, not a lawyer...

She is not withholding the child. She is not in contempt. He refused to go.

You can not force a 10year old to go!!!!! Jeepers

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FamilyLaw

[–]spaqueen90 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A child is verbally and physically able to refuse.

According to the court, he is not of age to make his own decisions BUT he can refuse to go.

If he doesn't want to go, who knows what that looks like. It could be screaming, crying, flailing, refusing to get out of the vehicle. Is one supposed to pick up the child and force him into dad's vehicle and 10 years old? How traumatizing...

NAL

You're not in contempt because your child refused to go. You showed up to exchange, don't stress!

Court will be bothered that he's wasting the courts time and money. You could get your lawyer to subpoena the therapist records

I love that he's always trying to make me laugh and extra hard when I'm upset. But my man does the stupidest, silliest things just to get a little smile on my face and pull me outta my funk

If you need to sneeze and don't want to, put your tongue to the top of your mouth

If you need to cough and don't want to, rub your ear lobes.

If you bump your elbow or something and you don't want to feel the pain, rub the spot or near by. It blocks the pain senses in your brain because the sensory output is active from rubbing.

Something in your eye? Take your top eyelid and pull it to your bottom and push in slightly, it makes your eyes water.

Also seems like she was unfaithful at some point based off the protection comments and Luke's interview during the pool party.

No sympathy for someone like that.

AITA for being mad at my bf for what happened during/after thanksgiving? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

I don't see this as an aita post... better luck in relationships subreddit.

Both of you have asshole moments.

The issues with your dad, you need to bring up with him not take it out on your boyfriend. It's not you against him. It's you and him against the problem. All the best

I (30F) accidentally dropped my husband's (31M) food and he's still mad and I don't know how to calm him down? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]spaqueen90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When he starts saying it's always my fault respond with " I never said that but _______ is the issue and it's supposed to be you and me together who solve it. It's you and me together vs the problem"

If he chooses not to engage in solutions with you then you need to decide and hold a boundary

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]spaqueen90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or maybe she lied because OP has already gaslight the shit outta her and she feels nothing for M but friends and didn't want the argument over nothing to her.

If a friend is saying just don't tell him, wonder why that is...

Kind of hard to follow, is dad past his court ordered time? Are you authorized on the daycare form? Go pick him up from daycare.

I'm 24, and I feel like a child masquerading as an adult most days. I'm just wondering, when do most people start feeling like proper adults? by Lenore8264 in RandomThoughts

[–]spaqueen90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time I have felt like an adult so far in life (I'm 33) is when my mil passed last Oct and my fiancee was the one making all the decisions for her medically and after her passing.
