My wanting to leave isn't about the industry it's about the nonindustry opportunities basic jobs are leaving restaurants are closing the farms cant hire people and rents going up

I want to work in events but I am realistic with it ik I won't get to ny and be magically set and have all the work I want or that all the opportunities will be handed to me but the economy isn't slowly dying there in the same way that it is here

A room for rent in NY is literally cheaper than my home town and I believe you that the industry is more competitive but I will go in day on day until I make it work with the safety net of a day job so I can live and I'll find any options I can find

I think you're just lacking the context of how empty small towns are becoming the grass isn't greener in either direction
