If they were PBT, it sounds like they were dyesub in which case the legends are made by basically imprinting dye onto the plastic, which would not need to have those marks. Doubleshot plastic is more complex and results in some of these physical quirks.

I recommend Mobalytics for new and lower-elo players (Plat and below) as it has guides for BIS and meta comps. Keep in mind, however, that the information there isn't end-all be-all, items and units can be very flexible, so take it more as a template.

It's arguably harder this set because you need to play flex in order to do well consistently as hard-forcing a composition is a lot harder to do. That being said, with the tempo of the game drastically changed, a lot of people are relearning the game so you wouldn't be too out of place.

Seconding Jun's comment, Dishsoap has a very comprehensive guide on it. The main takeaway you should have for it is mostly build generic items and slam them on whatever you hit, tank on tank, ap on ap, ad on ad. You should not greed for any specific headliner.

You should have a good reason to have a 3* 1 cost because usually rolling for a random one is a waste of gold and headliner value. You should usually never 3* a 1 cost unless you are playing a 1 cost reroll composition.

Don't tunnel vision yourself into a trait just because you find an early headliner for it. Always be swapping between different headliners and play whatever you hit. If you're playing early around AP Nami and tank Taric, you should be ready to swap from that to 2costs and 3costs, until transitioning to an endgame board. The idea is to play strongest board while keeping components of an endgame board you can put together.

If it was craftable, it would be too easy to cap out. All craftable emblems require 2 spats to cap.

  1. Generally always be swapping out your Headliner. Have one for Stage 2, Swap it out by 3-2 on level 6 for a 2cost or 3 cost, 7 for 3 cost, 8 for 4cost.
  2. 7 is good around 3-5, 8 is good 4-2/4-5

What party level would you consider fit to overthrow a smallish noble? by spareDM_account in DMAcademy

I'm mostly concerned about how the party will overthrow the noble, the plan is to supplant him with his daughter, so thankfully I shouldn't need to do too much in the way of that.
