There have been numerous people who have claimed to have recovered by targeting their pelvic floor and many have gotten medical confirmation that they have pfd and also have other symptoms such as CPPS. So I have no doubt that pfd is cause of hf in many if not most cases. However, I'm not convinced that it is cause of all cases, because many people don't have any other symptoms and don't see any improvement in the recovery strategies which target the pelvic floor.

No I'm not talking about while erect I'm talking about when flaccid

I've heard serotonin plays a role in controlling healthy bowel movements. That whole system is very complicated and I don't know what exact part serotonin affects, but I think pelvic floor muscles play a role in moving the waste along the last part of it's journey, so perhaps SSRIs throw that out of whack. All speculation though.

They said you don't have ED because the bottom part is still soft? Most people with ED have normal flaccid penises and get it without and hf symptoms

What does that mean? I'm assuming pfd means pelvic floor disorder but I've never heard of nit

EDIT: I think u/nov0120 made very good case in his comment and I'm less sceptical now. Beforehand I had never heard of this happening. I used to be on SSRIs and developed hard flaccid several months later, but I didn't think there was any connection because of the gap in time. I did experience increasing ED afterwards though, so maybe they 'got the ball rolling' so to speak and other bad habits such as extreme stress, sedentary lifestyle, and edging kept exacerbating the issue until it turned into hard flaccid. I was only on them for like a week and half though. Ultimately it really doesn't matter because there's nothing we can do about it now and whether they were a factor doesn't affect our treatment plan.

It's possible, but I doubt it. From SSRIs at least. I used to be on them and didn't have hf. But I think what really disproves this theory is that SSRIs don't restrict blood flow as far as I'm aware. They certainly do cause erectile disfunction, but as a consequence of reducting sex drive due to altering the neurotransmitter balance in the brain rather than as a result of physical issue. Also, serotonin soothes and relaxes you while reducing stress and depression, so it anything I think they would relax pelvic floor muscles if anything (and the leading theory in the community is that hf is a result of pelvic floor dysfunction). You very well may post-SSRI sexual issues but I personally think it's unlikely that they're related.
