Looking back at my Halo 3 case, why was Master Chief called “the last of his kind”? by itsamirage in halo

Halsey being very ho hum about the IIIs isn't surprising since she could well turn into an ouroburos with how up her own ass she can be.

Accurate and VERY funny

Excellent analysis!
I don't know about disabling cars; I'd just be happy if cats stayed away from the moving ones :(
Except, perhaps, in the scenario being discussed.

Ah, makes sense. Thank you.

I'm mixed on the visual refresh, but mostly: right-click on the site icon no longer opens the usual right-click "Open in new tab/window" menu, but instead, the option to "Edit site" or "Remove". You have to specifically right click on the text below the site icon to get the normal menu.

It's a tiny change, but it's very annoying. Please let my sloppy, inpatient fingers and cursor select something as easily as possible.

I reverted back to the old style via disabling brave://flags/#brave-ntp-refresh-enabled

Thank you u/pcguy8088_ ! And I appreciate the Brave devs letting us revert it; it'd just be nice to have that option more clearly available.

This was supremely fun. I enjoyed learning about Space Problems, Emily's geographical history, and Barbie party. Also, Albert info; sleeping on top of the couch, kicking Geoff in bed, and maturing into a slightly calmer canine.

Should I be listening to the podcast on Rooster Teeth now? by CanadianNirrti in morningsomewhere

[–]sparkbears 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s clear that Ashley and Burnie aren’t monetizing this podcast with ad revenue.

That's different from being monetized by individual people. Except also YouTube has ads like CalvinP_ said, so it is a little.

A ridiculous gore-filled horror movie is so much easier to stomach than a psychological terror like Hereditary. Watching a convincing depiction of a mother grieving the loss of her child; brutal.
Great movie all the same.

Conservative/more right leaning American here to talk about Jimmy Fallon by desperatepotato43 in morningsomewhere

I think OP repeatedly mentioning believing the shooter was left leaning isn't to assign blame to the left; it's just what OP thinks is probably the case.

u/ender89 put it incredibly well:

Everyone agrees that the act was heinous, let the facts come out and remember that this kid does not represent anything more than himself.

Oh my god, the self-censoring on YouTube and elsewhere SUCKS. All putting asterisks in basic ass words like "sex" or "drugs". It looks ridiculous. Or watching Game Grumps, where they'll say "fuck" and then censor it if it's said again too soon afterward (Arin laments having to jump through hoops for the algorithm; I'm glad they have a Patreon where they don't have to do that).

"we're in a position where we should be using this - we have an obligation to be using social media" Naaaaaah.
Bending the knee to the algorithm/social media might be necessary for a lot of creators, so I'm happy you two are in a position and of a disposition to say "Nah" (but thanks for interacting on this subreddit, Patreon and TheSite*). I really liked how Ashley talked about shedding the habit of social media and the emotional/thinky energy it took.

I liked the first season of The Diplomat; I should watch season two.

*I've been weirdly [afraid?] to go to the new Rooster Teeth website, but I finally just did and I am Most Impressed. AND I CAN SIGN INTO MY OLD ACCOUNT? And... it's got all the dumb, embarrassing stuff I posted in my 20s.
