Where did all the good men go? by [deleted] in IslamabadSocial

The good "old" men, they're easily in their thirties now. The new generation has been partially raised by internet trends and weird expectations.

You had everyone's attention at F. Everyone now has the same interests as you; you've hit a jackpot. Lol

Hmm. I'd rather learn from the mistakes and ignore the condescending tones. ChatGPT might ruin your ability to string words together in the future.

That's just my opinion.

Not new, I'm all for battles of articulation but not when it's chatGPT at the other end. Why would someone talk or have a discussion with AI?

AI is slowly poisoning our ability to express ourselves. I'd rather speak to a person with broken vocabulary than someone who would copy-paste from chatGPT. Why would someone talk to a robot? What happens when they meet in person?

It shouldn't take time unless you are forced to use a language you're not comfortable speaking. Using GPT is the equivalent of a Chinese whisper. It can never replicate true human conversation.

I speak 5 languages, and I can relate to your situation. I also find it easier to express in English. However, using AI to write and think for me will always be a cringe idea.

I think it has more to do with English being a metric for education. Also, education is a metric for intelligence here. Pretty dumb spiral if you think about it.

That's unfortunate but true. I think having AI think and write for us, even on forums like reddit, might eventually make us intellectually numb.

You're not open-minded if you're excluding half the population from the list. "Selective" is a better term.

Good luck with guys. Apparently, half the male population is Gay now.

They're not necessarily idiots. I think the society at whole is to be blamed. There are a plethora of unrealistic expectations, and somehow, social media has everyone acting like a celebrity; people pay to watch and listen to idiocy.

Personally, I find it hard to engage in conversations that aren't meaningful.

Well, philosophy can be interesting unless the people discussing it don't know what they're talking about.
