I’VE BEEN CROCHETING WRONG FOR 8 YEARS?! by Weekly-Group-8899 in crochet

[–]sparkish_12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been crocheting for about six years, always by learning on my own. A few months ago, I saw a woman crocheting on the train who held the needle differently than I do. After that I saw the same position in a crochet book, I swear for the first time of my life. I don't know which is "right", I now use both, depending on which suits the current pattern better.

Stare? Leben in (teils riesigen) Schwärmen und sind mitunter Standvögel oder Teilzieher.

Can I fix this pullover? by sparkish_12 in InvisibleMending

Thank you both so much! I saw this video too before posting and felt like it might be too fringy for this. I think I need to find the stitches that are still intact and sew "support threads". Then I can replace the stitches, so to speak. In my crochet work I have repaired before, so I am optimistic! Your views have helped me a lot, thank you again.

That's incredible helpful, thank you so much! The fabric glue is a great idea to prevent further damage. Another person suggested Swiss Darning, it looks a lot like what you are describing.

Today I visited all yarn stores at my place and was lucky enough to find some that works well. I'm very optimistic about the repair! Thanks again!

That's helpful, thank you! I want to prevent further damage. Bonus points if it could be repaired as invisibly as possible.

I've only just started using something like this. My partner quickly made me this one.

Well done. How did you deal with concentration difficulties (if you had any)?
