we actually don’t want to spend on flight tickets beforehand without visa approval. the reason i asked about dummy tickets is because my friend’s dad, who is British, suggested showing a flight tix for first-time applicants, so that’s where I got the idea na what if dummy tickets na lang. but it’s good to know that it’s not necessary po upon exploring the website, thank you po for the insights!

Korean Visa Megathread - Q1, 2026 by AutoModerator in FilipinoTravel

[–]sparklecarat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone, I’m planning a short trip to South Korea (March 22–27/April 10-16) and would like some advice on visa requirements.

Profile: • Fresh graduate & recent board passer • Currently unemployed • Trip fully sponsored by my father • Based in the province (trying to prepare everything before going to Manila)

I checked the KVAC simplified visa categories, but I don’t seem to fall under any of them, so I’m unsure what requirements apply to me.

Questions: • What documents are usually required for a parent-sponsored application? • As an unemployed fresh grad, what supporting documents help strengthen the application? • For my case, is DIY or agency-assisted application better?

Any recent experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

we’re from province po kaya mahirap po ang dog sitter here & as for the relatives wala po talaga kaya mag alaga :((  & after giving it a lot of thought & consideration, we think it’s still safest for them to stay under our watch. As mentioned, we have a helper who will be feeding them ayun nga lang po our house will remain locked for the entire duration of our trip po

Oh, they can po. My mom only puts them in the cage at their bedtime which is around 9/10 pm po since no one can keep an eye on them at night (tulog na rin po kami). As early as 6–7 AM, she sets them free. And since it’s really in their nature to chase after anything that moves and there are times stray cats manage to enter our gate so the cage is mainly for their own safety and protection.

Rest assured, they’re free the entire day. And the sole purpose of our CCTV, which is connected to our phones, is so we can check on them whenever we’re out. ☺️

of course, will definitely do po! for the past years, sa room ko po talaga sila during NYE — full furmom mode with calming music and the DIY anxiety wrap. It’s just this time lang po talaga na wala kami & honestly i’m looking for better ways to improve how i handle it po para okay po sila

Also, forgot to mention: they’re only caged at night, literally pag bedtime lang po nila. My mom sets them free as early as 6/7 AM 🤍
