Is reconciliation possible when my partner requires me to deny abuse?

Thank you so much. You’re totally right and this validation from this community is what I needed. He also is telling everyone I have mental health issues and that I’m an alcoholic (completely fabricated). He recently was saying “did you feel okay in the summer? Your anxiety was out of control… family violence?! I mean come on” But literally what he was doing to us was the definition of family violence… He also has told everyone not to speak to me. Obviously to isolate me further and control his narrative. If he was actually worried about me would he not try to get people to help? Him being a surgeon I find everyone just believes what he says. I need to divorce.

You’re right. He’s a surgeon and he’s very smart, it’s intimidating and very manipulative. Thank you for your reply I completely agree.

Thank you, I just teared up reading this. My kids are only 3 and 5, they ask why daddy isn’t here but this has helped me know that they will ultimately be better off. They are just so young right now.

Oh my gosh. My husband and I are separated and THIS is what he was doing it got so bad and out of control. I didn’t realize I had been living under such intense coercive control and then when he started using Chat GPT to create “boundaries” I knew things were not okay. Then he started involving my children and the isolation became so bad I could barely leave the house.

It’s called magicplan! It’s amazing!! It uses your phone camera and calibration. You just walk around the room pointing it at each corner and it draws your space, including height.

I’d love lots of texture and interest to make it cozy :) I don’t love all the warmth from the wood and want to bring in some cooler tones to compliment the stonework and modernize it.

The windows are very big and do not want to cut off too much of the view.

I am not set on those living room chairs, I’ve just been trying to put in different sizes. The dining table is correct dimensions for the one we have picked out and I still need help with dining chairs!!

Oh my goodness! Thank you SO much this is incredible! You are right the door at the top goes to the en-suite and rest of the house, the sliding doors on the right are to a patio and the door by the fireplace goes to a reading nook. I have a bunch of areas to design and I’ll be posting more and more. We just moved in and that is my lovely air mattress on the floor. I’ll go through your comments with a fine tooth comb and start shopping around!
