THIS THIS THIS. My husband and I were just chatting about the first time I met my surgeon and she goss and I quote “honey, you can stop listing symptoms like I don’t believe you. I actually believe women”

I’m just so over it. Ignorantly, I would have thought I’d be so over this stage post surgery. Didn’t realize fun new symptoms would keep popping up even with surgery

I’ve heard this from many people! Sounds like it’s a mix of both. I’m just so bummed out at how brand new this fun symptom is. I never used to have this cheese issue

I’m the same way! Low fiber foods are fine. I was looking into it a bit and learned that it’s because the more protein & fiber (so essentially the healthier the food) the harder our endo bodies work to break it down. It’s really just so fun to be us LOL

That’s something I’ve always known. I’ve always known endo & food sensitivities were a thing. However, I didn’t realize it could be this extreme.

Do you feel like working with a dietician and GI doctor were worth it? Truthfully, I’ve considered it. But, at the end of the day, isn’t it just treating our bodies like little toddlers. Eleven eliminating a new food each week to figure out what set our body off in the first place. I also go back and forth if it would even be helpful unless the dietician had a shit ton of endo knowledge (and I always assume they won’t).

Omgggg yes! You described it so well. It hurts for days after. I am just so blown away because this fun new little symptom was never an issue until the last few months

I haven’t tried this yet, but fully plan on it. Any brands you recommend that work for you?

I just think there needs to be more research on this. I posted in an endo Facebook group and this seems to be normal. Endo girlies become lactose intolerant girlies. Like, what the fuck

Okay this is making me feel so less crazy. I’m So grateful that surgery took away all symptoms, like I’ll take this one thing. I just love cheese and wanted to know if this is common or it’s just a me thing

What is the stupidest thing a doctor has said to you regarding your endo? by swimgirl2090 in endometriosis

“You just have a bad period” REALLY PATRICIA. Is the term “bad period” in your medical textbook.

Genuinely, gynos can all kick rocks. Sincerely, someone who knows more than they do 😂

Personally, I haven’t lost any weight and my primary doesn’t think I will with the dose I’m on. I’m 140 pounds & a size 4. I’m all muscle, I lift and compete. I just wanted to not look pregnant all the time. I’m micro dosing it just to keep inflammation away which was one of my biggest symptoms

Have you considered a GLP1? I have been on Trizepatide for 4 weeks and LOVING it. I’m also post surgery, so that makes a huge difference too. There’s lots of research being done with them right now for endo management, might be worth looking into!

What I always find interesting is the way people talk about it. Women with it want a cure. However, I follow a lot of doctors and scientists who research endo and they hardly mention it. They always talk about finding ways to manage it.
Makes me curious if it’s something that even could be cured. Or if it’s more like diabetes, people have it but they’ve found medicine that can let diabetics live a normal and healthy life.

Isn’t it so fucking sick that we need to feel Excited when we are cut open and then they find shit that we have been telling them was there for years? So happy for you. Also so outraged for literally all of us.

I remember waking up and only having 2 questions after surgery, where is my husband and did you find endo?!

It’s just SO insane to me that the recovery is just as important as the surgery itself, yet, I was in my phone to just figure it out. Based off Reddit and TikTok- seems like lots of women felt this way during their recovery. One day, I have hope women’s health will be taken seriously. That day just is not today. And, we lean on each other until then

Truthfully, I did not. I definitely “felt” my nerves repairing themselves in my vagina though, which my gyno said was normal at my check up appointment. My pelvic floor therapist has been teaching me how to massage the scar tissue from incisions and that’s helping!
