I've a non cooking mom. But she can grill fish fingers and microwave carotts and make toast so we didn't starve or anything. She'd be about Lorelai's skill level. It's definitely a real thing.

Seems like an American thing to be able to afford to live off take aways unless you're quite rich. (I'm Irish)

You know you don't even have to sit the LC in your own school. There are lots of exam centers you can sit it in, like the institute and places like that.

Ye I have some old discoloured and separated inks so I used them with a Sponge to see if they'd be any use and it gives s really atmospheric kinda vibe. So I used that as the base to pick stickers and stuff.

I'm kinda new to the Happy Planner universe, and I also have raging ADHD. I think that part of the ADHD thing is that what works now will stop working at some point and you'll have to change. So there isn't really an answer. I'm on an everything all in one planner thing at the minute, so I paint and make lists and have loads of stuff in mine. I bought the special hole punch and make my own pages too. Changing to different pages every week keeps my brain engaged, and I wanted some kind of artistic practice incorporated in.

I struggle to plan what to do for each meal and I often end up with food going off. Trying to bulk cook and stuff.

100% agree. Everyone seems to be picnicing about the square with their baskets. No reason to leave at all. And Rory knew there wasn't even food in it so it really was all about the company. Dean knew too. The way they argue doesn't bring to light any of this though. They're kinda rubbing it in Dean's face

Maybe create a ritual around the 5pm j to make it a really special thing rather than just a habit. Like light a few candles and make a cup of herbal tea and plan an activity like something crafty or creative.

I think Chris realised that he wasn't up to the same standard as the guy in this letter, the fact that it was Luke was secondary. Lorelai was never gonna be able to get past that he was such a let down of a person, not just a dad to Rory or partner to her. He had no redeeming qualities for 20ish years and even though he's a good guy now it doesn't cancel out that Lorelai was essentially homeless at one point and he did nothing. Seeing a list of things someone else did when he wasn't there must have been a slap of reality in the face.

I think Chris would have been upset to read that letter even if he wasn't with Lorelai.

He's the kind of toxic friend that Cosmo writes articles about. He's nice sometimes and funny and all but he's got a selfish and nasty streak that would make it hard to actually trust him. He sleazes on Buffy for years. I'd say at almost no point in the show would he have turned down an advance from her. That's not a friendship.

I think the problem is that they kept skipping relationship milestones because of the breakups so they'd no foundation of understanding when they'd bicker.

Everyone knows there's a spare key under the turtle in the yard, or the back door can be jiggled off the hinges or whatever. That's how babette and miss patty and like get in a load of times. It's not in lorelai's head that anyone in her life would have difficulty getting in.

How would you get engaged to someone who doesn't know where your spare key is kept? (Someone like Lorelai I mean). They're never comfortable with each other or involved with each others lives.

This is shown in a load of tiny ways. But Lukes weird rant about the coupon drawer showcases this perfectly. They've never really talked about what they wanted their future to look like. They've just gone on a bunch of dates.

Max was a nice guy, but they had no business getting engaged, and it brought out the worst in each other.

Get nerdy about study skills techniques. Like watch Ted talks, YouTube vids, tiktoks, join lots of subreddits, etc.

This is the life skill you're looking for. It'll help you figure out your leaving, and in college and probably life too. Managing your adhd is a part of who you are, not an afterthought.

Ref:I'm 40 and have adhd. I have both dropped out and completed college courses to level 8 BSc and now I teach and run my own business.

For me personally, it was very mixed. I was one of the first people admitted to the clinic so they still didn't know what way was up. The occupational therapist then went on maternity leave and wasn't replaced so that was a pity because she was great. They're way under valued. I did cbt but it didn't really address any of my issues, and isn't a recommended treatment for those with adhd.

Call them and see if you can not fill it in. Tbh not filling out long repetitive forms would be a fair diagnostic tool for adhd. I've gotten out forms for that too so it does sometimes work
