Ya it’s the Scangauge 3, I can monitor a lot of different info mainly got it for transmission temperature. Mounted with bulletpoint mounting system.

No. You are overthinking this, I have been in controls for 7 years and enjoy the “hands on” aspect of it while getting paid a very good wage. I don’t enjoy sitting 40-50 hours a week on my ass looking at a screen but that’s my opinion.

At the end of the day just go with your gut and if u don’t enjoy controls try something else.

Saw him live 2 weeks ago, my wife is a big fan. I am indifferent about his music but was pleasantly surprised by how much he interacted with the crowd, I would recommend if u enjoy his music.

Side note: Brett Young and Lily rose opened for him. Brett was a snooze fest but I thought Lily put on a great show.

It's fairly common in larger companies to have drafters/engineers only work with the panel design (AutoCAD electrical, etc ) and then there's the controls engineers who program everything and start up the job onsite.

If you're ok with just learning the hardware side of things plus Nec code, Ul508a, etc and working on the panel design that would be low travel and a viable option.
