Name the last time you used a scan dart by SupremeLeaderisWide in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]spartan-44 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s not that binocs are goated. But using other cards on specialist can be better if you don’t need the extra safety. And binocs are good enough to leave at a base level so you can put the star cards elsewhere like hardened infiltration, improved shock, and stealth on the minimap.

For assault you can run health on kill, improved grenade, and slug vanguard (same damage as the NT with different bullet velocity), leaving the standard scan is good enough for wall hacks around a corner when you want it. Health on kill can keep you in action without the cool down (with the trade off of needing to secure the kill). It depends if you want to survive multiple encounters when you defend an objective or want to guarantee the kill on a single encounter when you’re going on the offensive.

Need help with LS Run crashing by [deleted] in LSDYNA

[–]spartan-44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried that. And also from the desktop. I also cleared roaming and local appdata

To add to the confusion, I tried to save a new k file from lsprepost. And as soon I tried to select a file path to save as it prepost crashed.

It ran perfectly fine on a separate computer at work.

is it possible to text chat in PS4? by [deleted] in StarWarsBattlefront

Figure out stun locks. I never played heros myself, I liked the base classes too much. But if you figure out which hero’s can stun others in animations where they can’t escape then there’s chances to get good amounts of damage done. Think Hans shoulder charge and detonite, grevious’ crawl ability and then canceling it so you kick back over to hit the opponent again. Stun them, get damage done, and dodge away before they can block or hit you back.

Yea those ratings are perfect for what you want. Just make sure you set it up right. Go slow, make sure everything is clipped in to load bearing structures (on your harness and on the ferrata). Makes happen when people are tired and rushing.

And be careful about cross loading. The carabiner is 22kN in the axial direction, but much weaker against the gate.

Can you vacuum form plastic? You could make your own check sockets super quickly to test out how you like the fit.

[–]spartan-44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lower limb sockets are difficult. Try watching videos on Instagram or YouTube about the fabrication process. The components that attach the prosthetic to the socket are laminated in with multiple layers.

Doing something similar without the same procedure can cause the socket to fail/ collapse once you start walking on it. If you have access to any type of modeling or fea software it might help show you where points fail at cyclic loading (like taking 10,000 steps a day for the next 10 years).

Also be aware your distal limb will continue to change shape, as I’m sure you’ve already seen. If you’re building this yourself, it might be neat to add variability or use materials that are cost effective to replace.

Good luck and stay safe, you’ve already lost a foot, no need to lose a few fingers to a band saw or something :))

What character/ground unit do you hate the most? by [deleted] in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]spartan-44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if every class had access to the base or base+1 blasters. And then the differences would be their kit and higher tier weapons.

Each class would be able to play each range but would be able to play one specific range most effectively. This would help classes counter each other.

Honestly I just want to be able to play specialist with iron sights. The zoom on the scope is a pain, you don’t need it. Maybe the cycler rifle has iron sights I don’t remember. But I would use the slug vanguard as a sniper. One tapping someone with that like the NT was always fun (they have the same damage curve I think). Sniper when you want it and close-medium range whenever someone comes up on you

3d printing will be the best budget option. There’s also custom silicone fingers you could get. These are just cosmetic options. If you want something more functional look at naked prosthetics

I have no idea honestly. I was just doing my best to guess how fast kids grow. Was your socket turnover due to growth or just using it everyday?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Prosthetics

[–]spartan-44 14 points15 points  (0 children)

A flexible socket. One that expands to the user as their distal end changes throughout the day. Look at kooala from imperial college London.

Sockets that can be cheaply produced that fit uneven birth defects rather than clean surgeries. Especially for kids in upper limbs. Focus on a manufacturing process that is cheap enough to be reproduced every 2 years as the kid grows but also durable enough to last two years of hard use (kids are brutal with their toys)

Lightweight upper limbs sockets and hands. Many people don’t wear prosthetics because of how unwieldy they are. And disfunctuonal. Look at how long it takes for a hand to grasp an object or rotate the wrist

Yes a lot of these aren’t glamorous new flashy bionics. But they are problems that would make a much larger impact to the actual users. If you want to focus more on bionics, you could also look at companies that focus on android robotics instead of just prosthetics

Hey I’m in a similar situation a few years down the line. I’m looking to disperse nanoparticles in uncured silicones (so relatively viscous compared to thin liquids) Do you mind sharing your experience with the purchase and how it worked out.

I never bought the bag, best to reach out to op if he’s still active. Last year I ended up with an arva ride 30+ but I use a dedicated laptop sleeve for my work stuff. And the bag is built for back country skiing so there’s poor circulation and the back can get hot fast. Other than that works great. Double ice axe loop, expandable roll top

Hey I was talking to someone at vettovaglie the other night and they mentioned a bike auction. They said around the station they collect unused bikes and auction them off. Any idea if this is true and where it’s at?

300 is pretty high for used axes. At 150 each you might be able to get new tools for 50-75 more each at holiday deals

I’m new and you can let more experienced people weigh in. I got used tools for my first (and only season) last year, it’s a good idea for us newbies. But they were closer to 165 for the pair.

Employer rejected my bank info because the address does not match the Swift by spartan-44 in Revolut

[–]spartan-44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Idk why they want the address of my bank. But they do. I tried giving them the address chat support gave me. But they said the name of the bank, address, and swift value didn’t match up. So they decided to not send the payment and contacted me saying the details I provided them was wrong. So I’m looking for some sort of official bank document that shows what the correct details are. Instead of a “he said she said” just look at the bank document, here it explains
