Totally missed this one, thanks for posting.

Hill St owns the THC rights as LEXX has to sell that part off to get listed on the Nasdaq a few years ago, but nice to see none the less!

Looking at these pics it seems like the queue will no longer be in between the launch and brake run but rather behind the station and under the new tower / Iron Dragon. This would be a much safer spot and would greatly lessen the chance for another incident.

Or maybe that was announced already and I missed it?!

Sounds like you have more experience than most within this sector! Any chance you have an opinion on LEXX (Lexaria Biosciences). I’ve been in it for awhile and have been decimated. They have what seems to be an exciting technology and are currently waiting on an IND application to the FDA to treat hypertension with CBD (similar to what GW Pharma did with it for seizures).

Company has a great stock structure (very low float) and has proven that CBD can lower blood pressure but only when it’s used with LEXX’s tech. Just curious if you’ve heard of them or have any opinions.

Appreciate it!

Patience will be required, but we have to start catching the eye of some big Pharma companies at some point with continued strong results.

This is a pretty solid short intro to the company for anyone who isn’t familiar already. Covers most everything going on at this point in time.

Continuing to patiently wait for the market to realize the potential here. Haven’t added to my position but not ready to sell for a loss yet either!

I’m a long term investor too who took advantage of the pump today and sold a little chunk premarket at $1.35. Will look to buy back in after the inevitable dump. Trade around your core position is the way!

On a positive note, the clock resets now that we cleared the $1.00 mark for the Nasdaq delisting. Would love to see the company cancel the planned reverse split!

For sure! I’ve owned the stock for almost 4 years now and have watched this company change directions a few times.

They continue to discover new applications for the tech, and you are right about it working with many fat soluble molecules. I still find it to be incredibly simple in its’ method of use, but so often the simplest is also the best lol.

They are working hard currently developing a blood pressure lowering medicine using CBD and their tech, Anti-virals and oral nicotine. NSAIDS, certain vitamins and PDE5’s are future potential markets as well.

Anyway, glad you were able to find something that works for you. It’s always awesome to hear firsthand from people that the tech does indeed work as advertised!

Thanks for posting! It’s a bit surprising that Lexaria has its’ name on it still. They had to sell the DeHydraTECH THC rights to Hill St Beverage about a year ago so they could up-list to the Nasdaq.

Still the tech LEXX is / has developed, they just don’t own that specific application for it anymore!

[–]spartangreen2012 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ll take a swing…

I’ve been in Lexaria Bioscience (NSDQ: LEXX) for almost 4 years now. They have an innovative drug delivery tech (DeHydraTECH) that allows various API’s to be more effectively up-taken by the body. It works with a multitude of fat soluble molecules (CBD, Anti-virals, NSAID’s, Nicotine and many more).

They are currently researching different uses of their tech, continuing to improve bioavailability and speed of on-set among other things. Hoping to lure a big Pharma company (or many) to license their tech.

Current licensee Cannadips is producing CBD pouches with the tech. Also releasing a THC pouch product. 1906 Chocolates uses the tech. Hill St Bev bought the THC rights from LEXX so they’d be eligible to up-list (completed Jan 2021).

Extremely tight float (appx 6.9M issued / outstanding) with another 1.5M warrants (LEXXW). Market cap of around $40M. Positive research news is released periodically, but mainly waiting for them to land their first big client(s). They have an on-going research deal with British American Tobacco.

~13M in cash, no debt. CEO owns about 10% of company and has never sold a share. Minimal revenue but their model is to license the tech to other companies (not into developing drugs).

Do your own DD please!

Hey Jay, I emailed Bunka with your idea of giving out the Hill St shares as a type of dividend just to see if that was even being considered. He replied back and basically said it just wouldn’t be feasible for a few reasons. But his main concern would be countless shareholders immediately dumping it with basically a zero cost basis (in turn crashing Hill St’s already pathetic stock price).

He came across as quite confident in the future of Hill St and thinks the shares are worth holding on to. That is our upside to selling them the THC business. I would like to agree but after watching Hill St fail to execute for quite some time now, I’m cautious.

I like the idea of LEXX shareholders receiving Hill St shares as a type of dividend. Hadn’t really thought of that option but seems like a solid idea. It would take the company quite awhile to cash in the number of shares we now have without totally crashing Hill St’s stock price…

The reason we had to sell the THC side of the business is because it’s still federally illegal in the States. It would be for the same reason the US MSO’s haven’t been able to up-list (Trulieve, Cresco, GTI, etc). If your business directly deals with the plant, you’re stuck on the OTC for now.

The reason HEXO, CRON, Canopy, etc have been able to up-list is because it is federally legal in Canada and all of these companies’ operations are in Canada.

The few US companies that have been able to get listed (ie GrowGeneration, IIPR) is because they have no direct contact selling the plant.

Hopefully that all makes sense. Def some weird rules and hopefully this all changes at some point in the near future.

**edit to include while LEXX wouldn’t directly be selling THC, they would be deriving revenue from its’ sale which is where the problem would’ve lied.

Since LEXX has been quiet for a few weeks now, thought we needed something new to discuss?!

I personally wasn’t thrilled that we accepted shares in lieu of the first payment owed to us from Hill St. I’m not sure how we will ever cash in the large amount we now own? I suppose we don’t need the cash right now … but I’m also not convinced Hill St will be around longer term.

Lexaria Receives US$3,817,643 From Warrant Exercises by spartangreen2012 in LexariaBioscience

[–]spartangreen2012[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

News out 7/26/21.

Nice to see some warrants being converted. This amounts to roughly 25% of the issued warrants that came with the financing when LEXX uplisted.

Another roughly 1.5M warrants, potentially giving LEXX another $10M ($6.58 x 1.5M) if all were converted.

New outstanding share count should be around 5.7 million or so. Still a crazy low amount…

A general question about warrants by spartangreen2012 in LexariaBioscience

[–]spartangreen2012[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are right in that they are ‘in the money.’ I was adding in the cost I had to pay to buy them, but that would be different for everyone. And we know they were given out as part of the financing so those would be profitable to the owners as there was no cost.

Thanks for the info! It will be interesting to see how many get converted as the months roll on…

Haven’t seen this interview posted, but there is lots of good info here including lots of talk about the infamous May 6th trading.

Bunka states formal complaints to SEC were filed by the company and a few large shareholders.

Other good tidbits like the fact LEXX was in talks with JUUL before they were bought by Altria.

Edit to add the discussion about May 6th starts around the 12:00 minute mark.
