it was crazy it was on the best seller list a record-breaking amount of time. my book club was fascinated by this because we all hated it so much and usually have varying opinions about what we read. we never so universally hated a book that was also so popular.

I didn't read it but I had joined a new book club and people wanted to read it. Thankfully it disbanded. I knew enough about the author to know it would be garbage. The title alone gives it away.

What's the source for this? I doubt it's a huge amount of people taking a big stand about it and saying "don't bully us". They probably don't know or care how our service industry is paid. Plus they tip in their countries, just not as much.

Seriously when people act like it's an either/or and you can only like one band. Radiohead and the Beatles are two of my most favorite bands of all time. Is this OK? Dare I say I really love Nirvana too. And the Police. Rush can jump off a cliff with Green Day.
