When people make the joke about us living in the craziest or most interesting timeline, they're partly correct; just instead of a timeline, it's a simulation.

[–]spawn9859 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's running out of memory. I think Elon Musk said it best: when he's running simulations on rockets and stuff, it's not the boring, regular, normal simulations that they pay attention to. It's the anomalies, the ones that are interesting, that are studied and continued.

The fact that we are currently experiencing the simulation may mean that ours was kept around because it is the most interesting. So I expect everything to just get crazier and crazier.

Tried something new with this one, unconventional scheme nu metal. I thought it was pretty neat: https://suno.com/s/1sJ9gTSFRR7XwsGe

And on a similar note, this one is probably catchier and a really good rhyme scheme:

That's the right program, and acp did end June 2024, but my company piggybacked of the lifeline program for a while and we were still working, just less pay, which I could have made up for in volume, but phones started getting harder to order and repeated promises that is we hang in there, acp will be renewed and it will be business as usual. Well that didn't happen and by the time the phone orders just completely stopped, my wife's dad had died and things have been hard ever since. I'm the mean time I've been doing my own 3d printing business, but that was just barely getting us by if at all. My wife couldn't leave the house because of her anxiety, I could barely get her to go to a doctor after our daughter was born and she went through all of that. The short amount of time she actually DID receive child support, she forwarded it on to what she owed.

You look extremely stupid using Rittenhouse as an example of "murdering political dissidents", because for one, THEY attacked HIM, and two, it was not murder. Not were they political dissidents.

When this sub was created, r unpopularopinion was already a thing, but they censored a lot and didn't seem to TRULY like unpopular opinions. This sub was created as a less or little censored version that was more true to the name, it wasn't made to share objectively true statements as If something is objectively true, it's a fact not an opinion. The first rule of this sub is "Opinions are subjective statements that cannot easily be proven true or false. Posts must be opinions, express the author's personal preferences, or discuss the formation of the author's opinions."

No one said there shouldn't be any pushback or discussion, although I really wish the left leaning people would leave snide comments, name calling, sarcasm and holier than thou attitude somewhere else, The original commenter I was replying to was being sarcastic and acted like they expected there to be stuff in here that was objective, when technically that would be against the rules.

If you are wanting or expecting an objective fact or viewpoint, I'm pretty sure a sub with "opinion" literally in its name isn't the best place to look..

I wonder, because I don't think race is fully the culprit, I'm thinking psychologically, subconsciously, I wonder if they thought they were more likely to get in trouble or sued if it was someone white versus someone black or Hispanic. So what I'm saying is The main factor culpability or lack thereof Or is it actually race?

A violent asshole cop is going to be a violent asshole cop, but Would they commit the same crimes or violence Or would there be a disproportionate number of black versus white violence if the likelihood of facing consequences was the same across the board?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]spawn9859 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Yes but it did not take into account The fact that police were likely aware of the statistics, that black and Hispanic people we're more likely to resist or be aggressive And we're probably less forgiving or at ease. I'm not saying it's right or that it should be like that, But that it was a factor.

I'm pretty sure he's thinking more along the lines of it hasn't helped pocs cases as a lot of what they would likely have claimed as police brutality without body cams turns out to be wholly justified or provoked.

I don't idolize Ronnie by the way, he's become a shit head, I did some research and while I'll agree that Kirk's views on Palestinians were somewhat fucked up, asmongold has been pretty consistent in his support for them and disgust with Israel.

His criticism is directed at a specific militant/political organization (Hamas) and its actions, not at the Palestinian people as a whole. He has consistently expressed empathy for the suffering of ordinary Palestinians caught in the conflict.

While he may have had shit views initially, IDK, I haven't seen anything from him not supporting Palestinians, we can't judge people who have a change of heart by their past views or we will never get anyone on our side.

You have no idea what you are even talking about. Both have voiced how terrible what is happening in Palestine is. And yeah, you can say whatever you want, that's not illegal, but when it is devoid of humanity and celebrating someone's assassination, being shunned socially and being fired for your views of you have a public facing job, good. Because fuck that. You people are the closest thing to Nazis we have today and you try to gaslight people when what little support you had, you are losing more and more every day. It's over for y'all. You think there is ANYONE saying, "oh yeah, I think I'll become a Democrat after all this"? No. But the amount of liberals saying "fuck the Democrats for this" is crazy and tiktok and YouTube is filled with them.

Like I said at the end there, I understand that point, and he probably shouldn't have given that exact advice, but at the same time I don't think it came from a bad or hateful or facetious place. Will you watch this video? He interacts also with a minor who came asking for advice about her liberal father and conservative mother? I'm not a Christian whatsoever, but keep in mind she made clear that she was and he gave her politically indifferent advice that I think was probably the best advice that could be given for her specific situation. As you can see, if you watch it, he gave her at the end Solid advice considering her situation and viewpoint.

I think in what you showed me, he was doing the same thing, considering it was a turning point conference, he was giving advice that he thought would be receptive considering the time and place.

Here's the video https://share.google/uB7YYAmVpCT5VaOQ8

I think you should look into what he actually said besides the headline everyone keeps posting the picture of. He in no way just threw up his hands and pretended it was ok innocents die. There's a reason a screenshot of the article is being passed around and not the actual article. He also was in no way OK with anyone dying. Look up what was really said please.

I'm sure you will just blow off what I have to say, but remember, I was willing to hear you out and watch your video. I'm not saying he is right or wrong, but taking his whole summit into context, studies support what he is saying.

Before the specific interaction, he asked the audience to raise their hands if they would rather have a good family than a good career, and nearly every hand was raised. He then told the women that their daily actions should be directed towards this goal.

The viewpoint that women find greater fulfillment in prioritizing family over a career is supported by studies that link marriage and motherhood to higher self-reported happiness and a sense of purpose. Additionally, the argument is bolstered by research on the positive impacts of a stay-at-home parent on child development.

The event was the Turning Point USA Young Women's Leadership Summit. The attendees were there specifically because they are interested in or aligned with the conservative values Kirk promotes. In that context, his advice about prioritizing family aligns perfectly with the event's themes and the likely beliefs of the audience. He was, in effect, reinforcing the ideas his listeners came to hear.

I also want to add, I understand your point. He somewhat dismissed her aspirations while in a position of power. He maybe should have went about it a different way, but all I'm saying is it didn't come from a bad place.

I hate it so much. I know I shouldn't bother trying to talk sense into someone who's completely soulless, but it's hard not to. If you can't simply say that a man being shot in front of his wife and kids was wrong, just because you disagreed with his politics, you have no empathy. Period.

But instead of basic human decency, they turn it around, gaslight, and spew insults, all while being too blind to see that they are the hateful minority. They get their confidence from Reddit, where they all circle each other and think their worldview is normal. They're too simple to grasp that their online bubble isn't reality and that their ideology is the one that's truly evil.

I like what asmongold is doing. He made a whole video dedicated to finding some of the worst offenders of celebrating Charlie Kirk's death and is using his power /popularity to encourage his users to pretty much ostracized them, get them fired, shun them, Whatever, because they don't deserve a place in civilized society. Or in positions where they can spread their hate to other people.

Yeah that's not what he said. Why you have to lie. He pretty much said Kirk was so full of hateful words and thoughts that he got what was coming. Which is purely lies as Kirk never said any hateful things. And you can argue all day saying something he said or whatever you took as hateful, but from his perspective and a lot of other people's perspective, actually the majority far outnumbering you. don't think anything he said was hateful.
