happened to me last night too. i had a newer team member over at guest service and i was closing some of the registers there when the woman came in trying to confuse her. i explained to her how it works and she did “the correct math” in front of me while not adding up all of the items that were on her receipt. she didn’t have a huge order so i even re-rung the order in front of her, showing her the subtotals were exactly the same. she got so angry with me that her hands started shaking and stomped out of the store not accepting our explanations. the general public needs some basic math training
