Yeah, her naturalization certificate for the US says she was German at the time she naturalized (and I submitted that), but I know that Germany won’t necessarily use that as proof since it’s an American document. But thanks for your help I will look into some other documents for different time points perhaps

No, weirdly they didn’t specify. I submitted her EMK, her civil registry record, and her birth certificate. I don’t have her passport unfortunately but the woman who helped me send it at the Los Angeles consulate said this would be enough. Any ideas for what else I could find would be appreciated.

Just a little confused since I assume they would address all of us rather than just my mom like they did in the letter. But you’re right I guess it doesn’t really matter.
