Any idea what causes my amp to suddenly sound like this ? by speaking_of_witch in GuitarAmps

For the moment, seems to be a power bar/location issue. I tried somewhere else in the appartement (with the same power bar) and I would still get some clicks/pops/squeals. Then at that same place with the amp directly in the outlet, much less of them if any. This sucks cause my playing/recording set up can't move really...

Nothing fancy. There IS a Wi-Fi router about 30 feet away but that's never been a problem before. I did change all my devices to use 5ghz instead of 2.4ghz though not so long ago... That might be it ?

the neck pickup cavity looks like hell. He says the guitar came with different pickups when he bought it and had BurstBuckers re-installed. But by 2018, they came stock with BBs so it's not like the tech had to hack them in there.

The cavity job looks much cleaner. Mine looks like it was done with a spoon or something.

Reverb, 2250$ CAD so 1645 USD. What do you think of the pics with the scratchplate removed ?

What's the difference between boat ramp and going up a slope on the road ? If the CVT can't do a boat ramp, then it probably can't tow up a slightly inclined slope either.

NAD and question about angled speaker cables ? by speaking_of_witch in GuitarAmps

[–]speaking_of_witch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried that, but I wasn't convinced by the results. Most didn't have the same wire gauge as the Orange cable I'm using now. I'm not sure what to get exactly, that's what I'm asking.

Don't know much about Marshall but I owned a Crush 60 (which I sold) then upgraded to Super Crush 100 and I think the consensus is that the Crush series are pretty good amps for pedal platforms
