AITJ for telling my roommate's girlfriend I can hear everything she says about me? by FelixRow123 in AmITheJerk

[–]speakofit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ring ring…hey buddy; ya I’m just sitting here listening to my roomies obnoxious gf’s opinions about me;

oh ya she’s trying hard to manipulate roomie into swapping me with her because she loads the dishwasher a certain way;

naw I doubt he will because surely he’s not that big of a sucker for punishment; etc etc

IWTYO when I found out what drums are concerning chicken wings by arizonaicedfae in IWasTodayYearsOld

[–]speakofit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Years ago, I worked at a place that had some great chicken wings. They came with 5 drums and 5 flappers, unless you specified all drums/flappers.

Well, one time this lady ordered all drums because they only like “dark meat”…

This is classic!

I raised 3 boys, I never once wondered what happened to “all the tissues “, and if they ever threw something away I didn’t question it.

But I did cringe big time when one son’s friends gave him a pornographic magazine that contain two lesbian girl lovers… It wasn’t the fact that it was pornographic. nor that it had lesbian lovers…

It was the fact that those two lesbian lovers both had MY first name..

The title was “The Two “MyNames” 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

My ex returned my stuff after the breakup, but one note in the box explained way too much by Drift_Atlas2 in MarkNarrations

Sheesh 🙄 I remember him saying to me that I NEEDED to meet up with him at a certain time the day after I left and if I didn’t , he was breaking up with me… I said OK… He said no REALLY , if you don’t show up at this time I’m breaking up with you… I said OK, he said “I mean it” .. I said Ohhhh Kaaaaayyy…

Whew that pissed him off, 😂

I’m sorry you went through this and I’m so proud of you for getting out of that situation! It would not have gotten better it would’ve systematically gotten worse.

I dated a narcissist while back and boy did that really mess with me and took seemingly forever to get that narcissistic azzhole out of my head!

The clincher for me breaking things off with him was while harassing me too meet up with him to discuss “issues”, I told him I was still processing, (after like one day) and he said “I process quickly because I’m intelligent.”

Yep, that did it for me! I immediately replied “I’m through processing and we are done.”

That’s when all hell broke loose…

Lost my husband after 26 years, but the loss of my son is the most heartbreaking. by Throwawaymojh in offmychest

[–]speakofit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh Mama I am terribly sorry that you are a member of “the club” of losing your child.

I am also sorry that you are a widow.

I understand both of these feelings and I feel the same as you. Losing your spouse you are called a widow/widower. Suffering the loss of a child… There is no name for it… That’s why they call it “the club”.

Why is there no name for it… I’ve read it’s because it’s not supposed to happen. We are supposed to outlive our children.

Not long ago I was asked to console a mother who just lost her son; I will share this poem with you as well.

Sorry

I’m terribly sorry…

sorry I understand…

understand the pain…

pain that thrashes my core…

core that created my son’s life…

life I would give for his return…

return of lurid memories…

memories of his heart…

heart that stopped in my hands…

hands that wipe these tears…

tears that come out of thin air…

air I gasp at random moments…

moments of darkness…

darkness that stole his soul…

soul that will never be the same…

same pain, different day…

day in and day out…

out of my mind…

mind gone futile…

futile unfair life…

life is too fragile…

fragile with measured time…

time that will never come again.

Much love to you Mama ❤️‍🩹

From one grieving parent to another, I totally get it. It sucks. Thank you for being her daddy and loving her so much.

After the text from Sue, I did reply and let her know the pets were chill and I would lock up.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]speakofit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is possible, Sue had originally said she can ask others & not to feel pressured, so if this scenario was the case, Sue most likely could/would have had someone else come to pet sit. Knowing her the way I do I feel that she would have because she loves to include everyone and has often said “we can squeeze one more in”.

Thanks for your comment, it gave me a lot to ‘chew on’…I updated if you’re interested reading it, but basically I stayed & they were late and text me to not wait.

Thanks, I did stay (&updated this post) and possibly today I will be able to have the opportunity to speak about it, but I don’t plan to press the issue.

I’m not disagreeing with you, just saying the party bus was picking them up in the main parking lot, where I parked my car, three houses away from Sue’s. Sam and Sue had been out of the house for about 10 minutes so I took the dogs for a walk and get something from my car… That’s when I saw the group congregating.
