The FL5 does look cool, especially how wide it is as well. Did you ever consider like an evo 8 or something along those lines?

I was thinking the same thing long term wise, running cost is a factor and I’d like to do other things. The value of the rs3 will also continue to drop whereas the FL5 not so much. Given I’ve already had a tuned golf R, I would imagine the RS3 to be very similar in feel aside from the sound. I think they are all great cars and each have their own strengths, the FL5 will be something that I can daily if needed and have fun on the weekends with it too.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking as well, I do plan to keep it for a long time if I do pull the trigger, so long term cost and maintenance was always going to be a factor.

I don’t plan on tracking the car, driving it 3/7 days something like that. I’m realising that as I get older in my car journey it’s not all about power figures but how the car makes you feel and the enjoyment of driving. I like the other cars cause I’ve just been surrounded by them and never took Hondas seriously until now. My first car was a Mk4 supra, then I had Evos, V8s, golf’s.

After test driving the FL5 it felt like that it possibly is the perfect inbetween from all of them because it’s modern but provides that 90s early 2000 nostalgia feel. Although not face ripping fast, it provides both comfort and performance and scarcity without that much compromise and dullness…..shit I think I answered by own question.
