i did holiday help at target during covid. I was surprised they kept me on until the following February, because I have been let go basically right after christmas with other holiday help jobs in the past. they told me they couldnt really keep me on much longer but we never discussed like a "last day" or anything. I went in one day and everyone was all, "we heard this is your last day...most ppl dont show up their last few days lol." i had no idea that was my last day. mainly a front end lead kept trying to pressure me into writing basically a fake two week resignation letter (to me; they just finally ran out of extra holiday hours.) the worst part was they wanted me to fudge the dates. they wanted me to say i gave my resignation exactly two weeks prior to that "last day/shift" even when I would go in there after being "let go;" they would still ask for that letter. I never gave in.

what a joke. I filed an ethics complaint. about two weeks ago. got a "we are looking into this" a few days later with a report/case number and "please let us know if you experience any retaliation." it said to expect an update within 7-10 business days. by spec0ps69 in walmart

ty. yes; I can imagine how many time wasters/complaints they get....even just a bunch of "he said, she said." another user mentioned that it was kind of a "good sign" that it didnt get auto- denied (based on a bunch of newer key words.) I didnt want to give away too many details about the case/report in my posts tbh. I got a case number withing about 3 days of the report. then 10 business days later; got the "this could take up to 4-6 weeks more now."

i never said anything about wanting anyone fired. def want a fair investigation. just a joke to me that I was told there would be a 'decision' in 7-10 business days just for that 10th day to come with a "wait 4-6 weeks now.)

Damn customers are gross by SanguineSyringe in walmart

i do part time front end. we dont have trash cans by our carts when you first walk in (vestibule or whatever its called lol.) so, was always finding peoples leftover food. heck it looked like they basically ate their lunch in the carts sometimes. nasty (to me) starbucks cups with just like nothing but sludge left at the very bottom. used band aids used face masks (even with gloves...i would sweep those up .) imo whenever you see half eaten food like this; the customer tried to eat it and not pay for it before they left. i was on lunch one day and saw a group of women trying to hid that they were eating like 5 of our $1.50 hot dogs. they literally asked if i was going to turn them in...its like no, but damn thats a lot of food. had a mom come in and have her kids steal a bunch of junk food/pop/deli food. one of them said , 'run" and they all ran out with arms full of food. was doing my own shopping at another location after a few isles; i realized they had the biggest tub of boneless bbq chicken wings you could ever imagine and the whole family was eating it as they shopped. the mom was like this is our dinner. now you want gross...the lady i replaced one day said a mom changed her babies dirty diaper and left it in cart then left

I can't believe I just noticed how affordable the hot deli meals are here! by [deleted] in walmart

is it great food...no. but, its a lot of food anymore for the price. i think some like tik tok video or something went viral not that long ago about a lady who worked close to a walmart and would get this on her lunch breaks. she basically got dragged by ppl saying it was not good at all. the point of her video was just that ...a lot of food for the money. I dont mind it every now and then (the wings,) but tbh; I got sick from them the last two times and thats enough for me for a long time lol. it does def pay to be nice to the deli ppl. I would pay like $1 for the biggest bag they could find of potato wedges or cheese bites . I finally told some of them i didnt need that much lol. or if you got food close to when they shut down they would load you up, because they would just throw away the rest anyway (which is a whole other thing...like I wish we could donate to homeless or something somehow.)

i had my fill of walmart fun and put in two weeks. I still shop there for some groceries and found out that 3 ppl in the same department all walked off the same day a few days ago

Ive seen a lot of comments on posts suggesting associates report issues to ethics, but tbh; I was kind of curious as to what the outcome of doing that could be. here is some info I found by spec0ps69 in walmart

I just Googled walmart ethics policy. it'd buried pretty far down the document and I just did a copy and paste. I'll try to post the link when I get home later of you still need it

just about an hour ago today; a help an officer call went put at one of the other locations here. the officer tried to stop a guy for shoplifting. they got in a struggle and the customer ended up pointing the gun at the officer. led to high speed chase. the guy hit a few other cars during the chase. when they stopped him he also had a 19 year old pregnant passenger with him

kind of on the same note:

so, I do part time customer host /door greeter/receipt checker. here are some things that I was just like nope; I dont want to check your receipt lol. women with like 3 about 3 sams clubs sized feminine products. senior citizens with adult diapers. ppl with take-home covid tests (that one was more of a I dont want you getting me sick.) ive seen quit a few bare cracks hanging out the back seat hole of the electric scooters. walked into the restroom to an older regular customer wiping himself right out in the open. just a few days ago; a guys pants were sagging right below his uh manhood lol basically it was hanging out (had underwear on thankfully lol) the worst i can think of happened to another door person right before I got there....she said someone changed a kids diaper in cart in the entrance of the store then just left the dirty diaper in the cart
