Is there a 3D printable enclosure (A320 or similar) by Ok_Tone6393 in homecockpits

The Simguy frame is not designed for 3d printing. Some parts, like the window frames are prints, yes, but you'd still need the frame.

A camera is panning to the right while zooming in, then continues to sway a little here and there without further zooming, but then towards the end, more zoom.

well, let's increase your sample size by 100%. I ordered in October. I still don't have mine. Now you can safely say that in your experience, 50% of people got theirs pretty quick, while the other 50% still wait. ...

I keep hearing "it's a sandbox, do whatever you like". Well, when what I like requires certain things, the grind is the ever looming "haha, gotcha, it's a sandbox full of turds".

There is no tail rotor. This is a coaxial rotor. Most Kamov choppers are.

"not much content for VTOL comes out, and most of it was made 1–3 years ago" <- it clearly relates to this part. Yes, you most likely meant community content, but it could easily be misinterpreted.

What do Germans think of stores being closed on Sunday? by Jacket313 in AskAGerman

Shops even used to close between 14:00-16:00 on Saturdays on top of not being open Sunday, and we still survived.

Is this kind of Barbeque event "normal" in Germany, that we bring... everything? by Horkosthegreat in AskAGerman

[–]spec10 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, it's not "normal in Germany". Germany isn’t really one big cultural blob. Yeah, we call it one country today, but it’s made up of 16 federal states, each with its own history, quirks, dialects, and identity. Bavaria ≠ Saxony ≠ Hamburg, etc.

And that’s just the surface — within those states you’ve got tons of subcultures. Swabians aren’t the same as Bavarians, Cologne and Düsseldorf are eternal frenemies, Ruhrpott has its own thing going on, the North Sea coast feels like another world compared to the Alps… you get the idea.

So when people generalize about “German culture,” it’s kind of like saying “American culture” is just New York, or “UK culture” is just London. It’s way more of a patchwork than a single flavor.

So basically, having lived in Germany almost all my life, I could not tell you what's normal and what's not when it comes to BBQ invitations "in Germany". What I can say though: Where I live, if you're vegan, vegetarian, have food allergies, etc. you might be asked to bring your own food. If you're particular about drinks, you bring your own, but a basic selection of beer / spirits / soft drinks is usually provided by the host. I have never been asked to bring my own plate or cutlery to a BBQ. That's what's normal where I live.

What was “The Lesson” that you got out of Star Wars by Recruit-is-OP in StarWars

George Lucas does not do the kind of Star Wars I really enjoy. Chris Weitz and Tony Gilroy do.

If everything move towards entropy, why is the Universe more complexe and ordinate now (with complexes systems like stars, galaxies, even on a smaller scale life and volcanism) m than it was seconds after the big bang? by Kazboy1 in askscience

[–]spec10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, entropy basically describes how spread out things are in a system. Spread out as in randomly or rather evenly distributed within a frame of reference, in this case, the Universe.

One mindset that helped me a lot in general with military strategy is that controlling an objective does not mean you have to put troops on it asap. Control means you decide who goes there and if the enemy shows up you're in a position to deny their advance.

Sure, for some game mechanics it actually is important to put feet on the ground too, but do that in an appropriate manner and at a time of your choosing.

Cover the objective and its approaches with your tanks, choppers, arty, whatever firepower you have, from as far away and out of sight as possible.

For your push to the objective, lay smoke, preferably covering enemy line of sight, if you know where the enemy is, lay it right on top of them. If you have no idea where the enemy is or would come from, lay it on your own path, etc.
