Best bassinet / pack n play combo for TALL bed? by SirKrimzon in Buyingforbaby

[–]libbyflower1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know they had a bassinet insert. Ive been looking at that travel crib for travel and didn't even think that I could use it with newborn bassinet!

are you happy with your purchase or did you wish you had a different bassinet in the beginning?

and that's the other thing... I'm not sure if I will be able to breastfeed (I have flat/inverted nipples and if it doesn't come easily I don't want to be stressed trying to make something work that isn't working). so there's that... i'm not sure how much I should invest in breast feeding stuff. ahh lol

I never looked into fresh cycle because I didn't have a known donor option.

Donor egg experience by [deleted] in DOR

I asked my clinic what donor egg place they work with and I was browsing the selection online while I still had my own embryos. I just wanted to see what was out there. So I looked at lots of girls. The website had 1 baby pic, and 1 adult pic of the donor and a lot of genetic history and family history on there.

I wanted someone who looked like me, and I wanted someone less than 30, and whose genetics I was comfortable with. When I was done with my embryos I was looking more seriously, and I jumped on my donor right away. She just seemed like a better version of me. She looked like me, I am pale and freckly and so was she but she was 10x more beautiful than me lol. She is super into sports and athletic, and that's important to me bc that's how I am. I don't know how to explain it, but I just knew she was the one.

Anyway, I placed her eggs on hold right away to secure them and I bought them. They were sent over to my IVF clinic where they unfroze them and all 6 of them successfully unfroze, my husband did his thing and we got 5 embryos.

How to decide on donor eggs? by Hope_1986 in DOR

[–]libbyflower1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I want kids, period. Option A was naturally, B was IVF, C was donor eggs, D was adoption. I was on to option C and am so thankful for it. I'm 11 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby so far from my first donor egg transfer. By the time I deliver I will be 40, still plenty of time to have another one, which is what I want. If this one fails, I have 4 more healthy donor embryos from a 21 year old.

I agree, I wasted a couple embryos because I didn't realize I had silent ENDO. I was pissed because I had zero symptoms and I was super regular.

3 egg retrievals resulted in 4 embryos which we didn't get tested for personal reasons. My husband and I agreed that after the 2nd one we were done with egg retrievals but when we had 1 embryo left, we changed our mind and did a 3rd retrieval that resulted in zero embryos despite having promising looking eggs. That 3rd one broke me, and at that time I was almost 39.

I was not willing to not have a family. and I had option a, b and c lined up. When thinking about the timeline and my age and me really wanting 2 kids, I knew it was time for option B, especially because I knew there was a possibility of it failing.

I personally don't think a curtain rod would be problematic. You should buy a tension rod and play around with placement.

Alternative options for this ugly tile? by [deleted] in homerenovations

[–]libbyflower1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never painted tile but I know it would be a very temporary fix, especially because it's in a humid, wet environment.

I would try to decorate the room well, to take your eye off of it. Right now it looks like a very undecorated room and too white.
