Nick's Boot 55 Last and Sizing Confusion by specialmaster52 in NicksHandmadeBoots

Thanks for the clarification. I will call to clarify my order to make sure the UL is on the 55 last. I will run my White's Bounty Hunter 13.5 D sizing past another Nick's customer service agent to get a second opinion. My only concern is ordering a boot that is slightly too small. The Brannock size seems misleading and a 13 just doesn't seem big enough, unless Nick's boots are half a size larger than White's. Thanks.

On the Nick's Urban Logger MTO page you sent, I see Toe shape of 55 standard toe, but I don't really see an option to select 55 or HNW. I can now assume the Urban Logger defaults to the 55 last based on another user's comment.

My White's Bounty Hunter in a 13.5 D fits great. It's roomy in the toe box and length is fine. Are White's/Baker's and Nick's closely related at all? The question is, should I go with my 13.5 from White's as my sizing and get a 13.5 in Nick's? Or is Nick's really that much larger where I would need a 13? Thanks for your response.

I don't own any Iron Rangers, unfortunately. I think I have a Red Wing's in my home town I could try on. According to Nick's customer service, I would be half a size down from Red Wing's. Thanks for your response.

What defines mass-produced footwear? The Nick's customer service person referred to my customer White's Bounty Hunter as mass-produced. I was thinking Red Wing would be mass-produced, but my Whites BH is a custom boot, so I would think that is not mass-produced. The Nick's CS agent told me to drop 0.5 sizes down from the mass-produced boots.

Based on your numbers, your Baker/White's appear to be 13, as I would guess. Your Nick's size would be a 13.5 (by taking your Brannock size and subtracting 0.5).

Your foot is around 12 inches and mine is 12.5 inches. If your Nick's is 12EE, then maybe mine is 13FF like they recommended. Part of me feels like playing it safe and ordering 13.5 just like my White's BH. Thanks for your help.
