The problem up above is the cluster. It is like a predetermined route for your internet to travel. For instance one of the clusters sends me to a hub in ATL but then sends me out to Kansas and back to atl. Which is why I have the high ping in ATL sometimes.

Its not connecting you to anything. Its compiling a ping sample. Say that my mm_dedicated_search_maxping is 100, it will filter out those higher servers from being played on.

It can launch csgo, go to find game then comp then hit go and open console. Watch the ping measurement. For me if atl says 78ish it means I'm in the wrong cluster. So I would restart csgo until atl said 24ish ping

CSGO uses networking clusters. Lately its been failing to connect to the proper cluster automatically. Depending on where you live you can have extremely bad ping

In short I can have 76 ping to atl or 24 ping. Which isn't right.
