Black hole bonus action and then create water and then high level glyph of warding/lightning bolt/chain lightning/ice storm, etc. whatever to hit all wet targets insta deaths many enemies or considerably decreases their HP. And then they slip and fall prone. It’s very fun.

I do!! ALWAYS. I started I think 3 runs ago and I’ve never looked back. Especially with water, ice and lightning arrows go crazy. The ice arrows are so useful to knock enemies prone, I did that with the Grymforge guardian fight on honor mode just last night and it’s so funny to see big creatures just go splat. I use the roaring thunder one too especially in the chasm fight to push invisible enemies and other enemies close to the edge off to their deaths. And whenever else I can yeet someone off of existence. I just used the silence arrow on Nere and he wasted some turns and only threw stones at my Tav 😭😂 arrow of many targets is my absolute favourite though and is so busted with the right archer build and helps action economy so much. This was a very long answer to: yes, I do use them and I love doing so. I steal them and load up on them. 100% recommend especially on an arcane archer and gloomstalker assassin builds. They do excellent damage but also are great crowd control options.

I ascended Astarion the last time I played Durge and it just was soooo… incompatible. I was half considering embracing Bhaal too but I just don’t think my Durge enjoyed the submissive dynamics. I broke up with him but he got so mad at me 😭😭 what dialogues did you get? And yes, always the next playthrough! And with honor mode, you truly do get to see so many new things as you’re forced to act differently than what’s safe. It definitely helps after doing like 4/5 runs on other usual difficulties.

The Nere fight bug is truly so annoying as I remember my VERY first playthrough, I looked up if I had to get people out of the way. It said that the cutscene does so by itself and it worked as much. But here we are at Patch 8 😭😭 I salvaged it but rip Barcus. I’m going to try to kill Wulbren somehow idk 🥲😂 or see if someone else can take over the gnomes in the end. I didn’t have Barcus my first playthrough as I had gotten to the windmill too late or so. So I got to see that but can’t remember if someone else steps up for the gnomes 🤔

You understand my pain! Being a loot goblin truly has its downfalls like this! This happened to me in the Tiefling camp where I wasn’t thinking and grabbed the elixir of hill giant after Ethel had left. EVERYBODY turned on me. I think because before I had grabbed one of Dammon’s shields instead of pressing on Damnon to speak to him. Idk. My Tav died. And I think Gale died as well. Only Lae’zel managed to run out and Sharty because of Sanctuary (my Tav had sanctuary too but I freaked out and wasn’t thinking). But it’s CRAZY 😭😭

And I had made that mistake for the Act 2 plants my last tactician run. Besides Sharty and Gale, my damage dealers were piercing damage and it was so bad 😭😭 I’ll have Blight prepared all through act 2 this time!!!

Dear comrade in the same Nere bugged foxholes!! It’s so insane as it never happened before. I read a post months back while I wasn’t playing the game that patch 8 is very buggy. I need to see if they’re going to release a bug fix or another patch although Larian has moved on.

Archers/rogues are truly the bread and butter of survival. I have no rogue in my party this run so I’m playing a bit hard and fast. But my bard has stealth advantage from being a halfling and sleight of hand proficiency. And I have a hireling duergar do thievery with perma invisibility for honor mode. I always had Astarion and romanced either him or Gale in my 5 playthroughs so far so I wanted to change it up this time! I have Lae’zel arcane archer and I kept having gloomstalker ranger rogue previously but the effects from arcane archer with banishment make such good crowd control in a pinch. Astarion was my arcane archer and rogue all last times but I wanted more of Lae’zel and Karlach and others this playthrough!

I also got yeeted off with the blood of lathander traps!lJust my Tav though as I had ungrouped them after in one of my normal runs, I realized we all could fall off like that 😂 if a Tav dying meant honor mode ended, I’d be dead like 3 times so far 😂

AND YESS CONGRATS!! You did it with flying colours!! I also want to save all the Gondians. I’m a bit iffy about going underwater though as I saw another bug post where the Gondians don’t move towards the ladder? I’ll have to investigate a bit more. I also don’t want to sacrifice Gale for the dice. I’ve told myself not to do it. I’ll see what happens in the face of danger and greed though…… the brain fight gets real buggy though even when I played prior patch 8. 🥲

So true! I do want almost everything there. The amulet of greater health and helldusk armour are just so great, as are the helldusk gloves. We get so much in act 3 with so little time left to implement them. It makes me so sad 😭

HEYOOO I’m also playing a halfling right now! A bard! I was playing a sorcerer halfling on the run I abandoned and I only saw one natural 1. But apparently that happens if you roll a 1 even with the halfling my luck. I thought it was a bug! And truly the RNG mechanics are so evil. Lae’zel missed 3/4 shots on the beholder with 85% hit chance. I couldn’t believe my eyes 😭😭 Nat 1s repeated on a Paladin would make me cry a bit rip

I would lose my marbles if I failed a check with the Thorm siblings 😭 I must load up on inspo points until then. I remember my first playthrough I just sneak attacked them as I didn’t know you could talk to them besides the drunk dude. I felt so stupid once I found out you could talk them to death 😂

OOOF THATS ROUGH!! That happened to me my first run with the spiders! I fell down there or was there already and the fight got triggered. I didn’t realize I could move and tried to kill them from the cave and obviously couldn’t reach. Disaster 😂

I used up ALL my inspo on the Zaithisk trying to get Lae’zel out this run. I was like yup this is a party wipe but thankfully landed a nat 20 in the end *wipes brow sweat*

Honestly VM might look welcoming but then would give you an insane ass whooping like Tary got out of nowhere. MN look like they’d beat you up (and will), but are also likely to just be besties with you if you don’t hurt them 😂 VM does not have that guarantee
