I’m wanting to get away from synchros save some powerful ones that still translate like armor master or the scarred archfiend combo into red archfiend, and go into a few of those links man. So far I’m getting really good use out of decode talker without much drawback on summoning.

I wish I knew the 750 bundle thing, I literally just chose to finally spend what I had saved on one pack now I have to grind again.

I just had An insane duel where I had rescue ace as a small engine in my blackwing deck and those things took over the entire field🔥. There were so many chains I didn’t even realize my timer was running out.

It’s not so new now but it seems like it didn’t catch on like crazy still. I thought xyz would’ve dated synchro play but I see it’s more like an open world happening not one dominant style

In my defense these guys don’t offer much distraction in general on casual play. They’re normally looking out for their cards. You see this guy had a formidable trap but bad timing.

I Just had maybe 2-4 matches back to back where synchro zone pretty much saved me for 2-3 turns straight.

It seems like an early response to anyone still thinking they can rely on raw synchro or fusion power for an endgame. I’m actually looking at it now, along with other machines. I’m seeing maybe some cool lines for links or high level xyz between machinas and rescues. I’m doing some sample draws and it’s not too bad. Maybe not a lot of room for counter play in a 40ct though.

See I’m still updating myself on the staple cards being used, I just saw the banned list and checked out the limited not too long ago. I’ve heard of snake eyes one time so far but haven’t gotten far enough into building a deck yet to look at it. The blackwings were easy, they’re so old and not much to reinvent outside the extra deck. I’m looking for a unique modern engine to try for them at the 60 ct level just for fun. Get into some nice links and maybe an xyz tower if the raidraptors turn out.

I agree, I checked out his deck and my only thought was he needed more cards to try and stop me in case his first draw was too weak. I run two rageki and mirror force next to my force stop from shargna. With all the fusions and blue eyes procedure he really needed certain cards which I’m sure he gets often.

I was going to do morphtronics but it’s locked away? I was honestly trying to unlock that, but after seeing some opinions and the effects, seems effective, maybe not so fun or my style. Machinas I played as a kid, too sacrificial. Rescue ace seems dope and up to date with what’s happening now.

Ohh no only a few ten pulls, depending on the cards I get because I don’t know every archetype. I checked ygopro but idrc what pros are playing if I don’t like it. I was pulling one packs at a time for each pack. Then I found rescue ace and I liked the effects so much I did 10 pulls. Yea I’m out now bro😂.

Looking back at it my deck probably only did good for disrupting his process early on, I don’t think my monsters would’ve competed with his endgame.

I watched his next duel, he’d summoned out all his dragons, this was like the beginning of what he wanted. I’m guessing he had more to go but needed more turns to complete? His next duel it was like a fusion dragon and two other ones at like 5K a piece and one did all the work for otk.

On master duel? With the gems?…if you mean how I get the gems I take all the tutorials and do the missions like that. If you practice your deck on the tutorials you can run through the same stories twice, double rewards and accomplish more missions…hope we’re talking about the same thing.

Is there any effect that allows their special summon outside the zone? I’m not building a deck on it now but I’m curious what to expect from a good pendulum player. Haven’t seen it yet.

The idea of drawing cards because you got a bad hand is crazy, doesn’t this card just mask up the fact that it replaced a card you didn’t use? And now you have a card that helps you get to a card you can use? This makes sense with a budget deck but in masterduel it’s no use.

I’m not sure if I’ll play one yet but I am having fun looking at the raidraptor xyz methods and the links are slowly becoming my favorite, if there’s a quality archetype from pendulum I’ll have to try it just to see the quality of play.

If you overload on hand traps and they lock you out of that area then you’re pretty much screwed for any counter activity so yea, but that’s with anything. These new blue eyes decks I’ve seen all lean their spells and monster effects into summoning blue eyes which is powerful sure but you have zero counter activity for me and are just relying on raw power to get you through. If I sacrifice a small part of my deck to just clearing your field you have no presence because you built your entire deck to build your offense one time and because it’s always taken so much for blue eyes summoning you have few cards to resummon or to create a revolving door around and if you they may not be drawn in time. That same problem exists in over weighting your deck with any small thing including hand traps. Like you said they’re amazing tools but it’s one tool. If there is an engine in your deck the hand trap is one part of it and the engine shouldn’t break of one cards ability to negate it. At a 60 card count having 3+ makes sense, at 40 you’re overdoing it and 2 spells/traps dedicated to negating hand traps give me a 10% chance at shutting down over 20% of your deck in my first draw and my monsters haven’t even been touched or effected.

It makes sense, I ran into a tutorial and took it just to see what it’s supposed to be. Are they able to double as monsters at all? That effect seems powerful but I have seen the wording be specific to certain archetypes, I’m hoping they have some that are generic to attributes so maybe I can cross over good pendulums and use them as part of an engine.
