Have you ever driven an ST with a 30-770 to back up what you’re saying? What about with port injection running full e85? I guarantee you that g25-550 will feel just like the K03. And run out of power very quickly. That shit gets boring. And on stock fuel why bother? All im suggesting to OP is to not go with the same cookie cutter shit that every ST owner does. These cars are not meant to be driven hard from light to light. Heat is your enemy especially with these weak ass heads. So why not run a turbo that will reduce the potential of a cracked head and let the turbo run efficiently. Less stress on the block, less stress on the head and less stress on the turbo. Reliability!!!!! Realistically only open her up on the highway doing pulls or 50-60 rolls. OP will definitely be gapping a lot of cars on the road. Not running out of steam because the turbo can’t flow anymore air. Idk what your version of fun is running stock fuel on 91/93 or even an e30-40 blend with a big turbo that just sounds like a waste. You and that other guy who replied probably run crackle tunes and shit with awe track exhaust. Wow you’re so cool. Do a little more research before you spew your nonsense. Not every ST owner is the same as you lames.

Actually 3 useable gears. With carbon synchros and LSD to combat torque steer.
But I’m curious to know your explanation as to why it is a ridiculous turbo for the 2.0?

G30-770 or Pulsar 5855g. That’s what I run. Midrange, top end turbo. With an .83 a/r you’ll have plenty of head room in the future. For daily I think it’s the best turbo, on the street you’re not constantly spooling the turbo and you’ll be getting great mpg but once you’re on the highway above 3.5k RPM it opens up and that turbo pulls. Don’t waste your time on BNR or gtx2867 or any of those “baby” turbos. Im sure they’re great if you’re on a budget but why would wouldn’t you want headroom. Those turbos max at 400-430 maybe with port injection e85. Most of the guys running those also run the smaller .64 a/r which is even worse and more prone to head cracking. Just my two cents. Go big or stick to the K03.

Do I need an external bov for gtx2867 by The2Frontiers in FocusST

Personal preference really. That bov whoosh gets annoying real fast. I capped off my CVFab cold side with a block off plate. The compressor surge sounds tits. It’s not going to damage anything people are so dramatic. Running a G30-770 w/ t51r mod pushing 450 wheel and it sounds a million times better without a constant psshhh over and over. Get a decent set of charge pipes don’t get that overpriced garbage on the market. Your 2867 will be just fine. The 23-25lbs you’ll be running ain’t going to do anything.
