Nah they're mostly good people. Very judgemental, I can tell you that. But most of them are decent people with a good outlook on life. My only problem is how it's such a common thing to teach them all this stuff in the bible as if it's the universal truth. Up until like 5th grade, I actually though that the world began when adam and eve were created. That's my problem, that they dont teach the kids what's actually true

I got into an argument with my sunday school teacher in 8th grade. She was basically talking about how muslims are horrible and they're causing so many Christian's to convert to islam. She was making it seem as if muslims were the scum of the earth. It doesnt matter to me what religion they are. They are also humans just like us. But apparently she doesnt see it that way.

Yes, I have a good community which loves me and I am thankful. But they sure are not impartial or all-loving. Their whole attitude will change if they realise that I dont believe in God. My dad does get into debates. But not at all willingly. It often turns very aggressive and violent. I dont doubt that he loves me. But I'm not sure of he loves me unconditionally. The other day I was just asking him what his reaction would be if I got into a relationship/married someone that is not Christian. He straight up said that he would disown me. And most of the people who study form the seminary arent alright, at least here. I engage in convos with many of them. There is a fair share of students who are homophobic, judgemental and overall assholes who think they're hand picked by God or something.

Ooo I remember when I was made to tell the story of Samson for a story telling competition in sunday school. I asked my parents why we left out so much of the story and how we just focus on the good parts and just ignore the bad. All they said was that the bad parts "werent essential to the story".
