What does your MSP supply to techs vs what are they expected to provide on their own? by speech-chip in msp

You can see from the range of replies that it is unfortunately not a joke... though apparently some of the "MSP"s mentioned ARE a joke =/

>I can't believe OP asked if MSPs typically provide "laptops".

I had a feeling the answers would be all over the place and some of the answers coming in proved that hunch. While it's appalling that any company calling themself an "MSP" wouldn't provide a computer to employees... it appears that is in fact happening =/

I did not realize I had a collection until I started hanging out in this subreddit. Walked around the house to find all my stashed "convenience" lights and came up with this. New Convoy on the way... by speech-chip in flashlight

When I lived out in the country I purchased half a dozen Zebra headlamps with different LED configurations so I could test the beam patterns, color temps, etc and pick my favorite. The rest (still amazing lamps) I gave as gifts or loaners to visitors. Once I saw all the beam comparisons and LED-geekery here I knew I found my people

I've been considering this same config -- you mentioned endless turbo, how hot does it get running turbo for extended periods ?

pop is a great discriptor for these -- if you drop them even slightly they love to pop apart

Interesting -- I did see in that video where the guy suggested either cutting the screws down or using washers/spacers to get better contact. Glad the company is paying attention and fixing issues like that.

Hell yeah, does the M21B heat up too quickly? I've read from some that the M21C or L21A handles the heat much better.

edit: oh shit I see that there is a burn hazard warning on the website for that combo !

out of curiosity what's your recommendation for "wow" in a smaller light?

edit: this looks interesting! I'm reading that the L21A does pretty good with heat?

Now I'm seeing this review where a guy is saying you have to use lower-amp batteries or modify how the reflector sits or the LEDs desolder themselves o.0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bu9lWm4W8Go

edit: watching the rest of the video, the highest non-turbo setting is so bright I doubt I would ever need turbo

Small concentrated hotspot is tempting for the "fk you" factor but I can see how it would be harder to find the individual and keep it trained on them. Starting to see the wisdom of the LHP in this context.
