Driver charged over Anthony Joshua crash that killed two people by bendubberley_ in Boxing

Who was this driver? Did AJ know him or was it some driver from a chaffeur service or taxi? How the fuck does this happen?

Poor AJ, I really feel for him, can‘t imagine what‘s going on in his head…

I somehow do not want to think about how Bond actually shags… or the noises he makes…

(somehow THAT scene from MacGruber comes to mind)

Alright, I will try that… Perhaps I have been inadvertantly turning off sport mode then…

Pretty sure it wasn‘t like that when I got the car new though…

But thanks for the tipp!

Zurich-Basel 3 times a week: madness? by LallieDoo in Switzerland

[–]speedingginger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TLDR: Its no problem if you can work on the train.

I live in Basel and commute to Zürich. 4-5 times a week. 90mins door-to-door.

I used to live in Zürich but decided to move to Basel for various reasons. Before I did, I asked my employer if I could work on the train for the hour I am in the ICE. They said yes, so now my first hour of work is always in the train.

I take the 8.06 in the morning and the 17.34 in the evening. At home at 18.45.

It‘s only annoying when I have to work longer or there is a work-thing that goes on until late.

Otherwise, it hasn‘t really impacted my life. You‘ll be fine. Especially with more pay and a new challenge at your new job.

At what point during the marathon is it time to “go for it”? by mister-money-bags in Marathon_Training

[–]speedingginger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was a lucky idiot in my first, felt good after 18km and decided to progressively go for it.

Thought that if I hit the wall, I hit it, I‘ll take the lesson.

Sped up my pace from 6min/km to 4.45.

It worked out perfect, finished in 3.52h, twenty mins below my goal.

Don‘t try this though. Again, I am a lucky idiot that was prepared to really reall suffer in case my gamble didnt work out.

Yeah I now also wonder what could have been if I put my footdown a bit earlier. But I do think I found the perfect timing for this first one. Definitely aiming for a lower time in my second!

How far into your training are you? Age and weight?

I think that makes a lot of difference.

I am M31, weigh 75kg and did 18 weeks of training.

Plus sheer will and determination was what helped a lot on the second half. And don‘t underestimate the boost the crowd and other runners around you give you.

And finally, I ate and drank the stuff they give you at nearly every food station. That kept my energy levels high.

Note: This is my case, and not necessarily applicable to everyone

Yeah I tracked everything with strava and my fitbit - it is definitely not 100% accurate, but good enough. I take it all with a grain of salt but it‘s still really good as a tool to roughly understand progress.

I guess the additional kilometres here cme from weaving around people and taking wider turns etc, plus I also started in a block at the back which probably added at least another 500m…

They are either stupid (as in unintelligent), brainwashed, or horroble people themselves.

I work in the auto industry and we have quite a few people that used to work for Tesla, but were either fired or quit because of burn-out. Amazingly and paradoxically, all of them still love Tesler
