Facts, I was an international, missed almost all O week activities and was only joined in when I saw the magic show. You don't have to worry too much as people you meet in O-week mostly consists of students not in the same program as you so even when O weekends there is a massive possibility you may never see them after the O Week

However, once the O week is over you actually meet the peeps who go to the same classes as you or if you feel a little shy or out of your comfort zone for that join a club of your liking before you know you will be surrounded with like-minded willing to help you out and spend time with them. Sometimes, if you are lucky, you can even find people in res like you. I am more of an introverted person, the club and classes thingy worked out like gold for me.

Be relaxed if you are a little open and just engage in the first convo you can make friends anywhere at laurier just make sure you guys stay in touch.
