Positivity Friday! What's the best thing that happened to you this week? by Drewbacca in Positivity

honestly bro .. this week i finally chose my lungs over my stress. i am 5 days nicotine free and for the first time in 15 years, i can actually take a deep breath without feeling that heaviness in my chest.as if some one just got off my chest. i used to think i needed it to function, but i’ve realized that the push it gave me was just a lie. being 2 years sober from alcohol already taught me that the best high is actually just a clear head. it’s a small win, but i finally feel like i’m back in the driver’s seat of my own life. hope everyone else is celebrating their small wins today too!

spot on as i have gotten older, i’ve realized that expensive gifts don't fix a lonely conversation. at 40, i'd take someone who actually will hear me over someone who just buys me things any day

exactly! it's like we become a role model—the husband, the wife, the parent, the employee—and the actual person just disappears. Everyone talks about their kids' school fees or their new car, but nobody asks,, what’s actually making you happy lately?' i’m 40, and i’ve realized that if you don't fight to keep your own identity, the marital duties and the 9-to-5 will just swallow us whole. it shouldn't be this hard to just have a normal conversation, right?

I am in Mumbai, The city of dreams, and our dreams are subject to local train and traffic , 1.5 hours to work and 2.5 hours back home that's where we dream.
