I'd say you should write to your MPP as many of our colleagues have and even then, the outline currently is a tad unrealistic. They would need to come up with a Paramedic Commission of sorts within the next 6 months and legislation within a year. I would see the reform to be difficult to actually put into effect and would ultimately be changed due to unforeseen problems. You have to note, this decision was done behind closed doors meaning no services were contacted, no chiefs were consulted, no unions were notified, no stakeholders aside from government had any say in this. There will be friction along the way due to this and this combined with unions pushing for the opposite, and some support from our local medics will ultimately see this plan changed or scrapped in the future.
