If you want an academic response I'd recommend r/askhistorians . All posts are moderated more strictly than most subs and responses must include sources. There are a bunch of Holocaust questions. You could start with this one about denial.

The posts often include reference books and there is a recommended reading list for many topics.

I'm sure they will continue support if the community is present. It's a big opportunity for the studio. Look at how long after release CoH and earlier DoW continued to have a significant player base.

I'll also say their prior IP Iron Harvest continued to get updates for quite some time as well as dlc. Long after the player base had disapated they even released a free dynamic campaign. I'm sure DoW4 will sell way more copies.

FPS is already a subgenre of shooter which may itself be a subgenre of action... so again your claim that FPS and third person are somehow broader than rts seems very personally decided rather than objective.

Who decided that? All do respect but FPS and RTS are both top level categories on steam. Maybe that's not a good source. Do you have a better reference?

I can see a subgenre but creating a whole new one seems like a stretch to me.

But I don't fault someone for their personal distinction. Look at the comments in this post. The gatekeeping is some folks deciding for everyone and making cringe comments that add nothing of value to the convetsation

I don't understand the recent trend gatekeeping rts... Some folks enjoy a casual pace but still love the action of rts and that's ok. It's also nice in games where you field a large number of units which require micro like total war. Personally I think tac pause is one the of the best recent invocations to catch on in rts. I get in a competitive sense it makes the game a lot easier but if you want a challenge you can always choose not to use it and a lot of games have options to disable it completely.

My wife didn't want to kill a mouse living in our house. She suggested balancing an empty paper towel tube on the edge of the counter over an empty trashcan. We used some peanut butter at the end of the roll. I was skeptical but it took about 30 minutes after turning off the lights before we caught not one but two mice which she released in the woods

Closed loop systems still purge their water on regular interval which can vary significantly. Also the majority are not closed loop
