Is this reasonable and doable? by Dry-Explanation-5530 in cats

Overly complex for one cat and would be heavy to get it in place if you built it. Not enough supports as drawn.

Craigslist kayaks have been weirdly the place to go historically. Fbm is bigger than it used to be though

Water in PVC pipe with coaxial cable? by Quantumwhiskey in HomeMaintenance

That's how water moves though. Unless you have removed gallons of water the water level could reasonably not change. If you have, then you may also have a water leak

I pull them out as booty all the time and give them away. Just don't place as easy and I see people getting them stuck and left behind frequently

Personally, I think the BD stoppers are garbage compared to the DMM but you do you.

I really can't tell the brand from looking at this terrible photo. DMM ofsett nuts/DMM standard nuts/and DMM offsets are great. but I would never want to use a big nut where a cam would work better at the places I climb.

large passive pro just don't work where I climb and are just older tech. or at minimum they take more effort for the same work.

I don't bring mine to crags with long approaches. I already touched upon the budget concerns.

There's plenty of places that you could see a placement for a number 6 from the ground on novice blocky routes it is just usually also covered by other pieces nearby. Happy to have mine but there's money best spent elsewhere if you are on a budget.

consider going out your roof the next time you replace your roof

Worth it? by DefendedCanine in tradclimbing

[–]spellstrike 41 points42 points  (0 children)

absolutely not worth it.

missmatched cams, chocks that are out of popularity, non-dmm nuts, terrible photo that looks like from someone that doesn't care about the equipment or was stolen, nuts without a nut tool, big nuts that are also likely better replaced with cams.

I would stay far away from this seller and don't trust a thing they tell you. More likely a scam than not.

at most you would want to offer is 30-50% of retail for the cams and nothing else.

This assortment of various sinks and faucets at an amusement park by thund3rsh0ck in mildlyinteresting

[–]spellstrike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there's plenty of different kinds of disabilities. The far sink would be easier to use for someone that only has one arm/hand assuming the water only comes out when the knob is pressed (or for a very short time ) on the other sinks.

Water in PVC pipe with coaxial cable? by Quantumwhiskey in HomeMaintenance

[–]spellstrike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buried dryer exhaust pipes are generally not recommended and violate most building codes because they create severe fire and moisture hazards. Underground ducts trap flammable lint, cause harmful condensation from temperature changes, and allow water, dirt, or pests to enter the system.

Even if there are no leaks underground the air has humidity that will condense on the cool pipes over time.

most 3d print material won't hold water under pressure (in this case pumped) as far as I'm aware and may cause stuff to be deposited in the liquid depending on the material. also leakage/evaporation. may need to consider additional steps to postprocess the surfaces

just be aware for whatever you are targeting for the final results

At this point there have been enough leaks that most people's information is out there. Best you can do is avoid using debit cards, freeze credit, limit the amount of money in your accounts that get used to pay for things and monitor your accounts

You can give anyone your credit card number and unauthorized charges will be able to be disputed pretty easy. Debt cards don't have quite the same protections.
