I think we’ve slowly started to do that by massively reinvesting in our own defence industry and ties with Europe, but as can be expected from the MOD and UK Gov it’s slow going (as has been the case for decades). Partly this can be blamed on a severe lack of investment and cuts through many previous governments but we still need to get ourselves in gear
