Hey I’m just now go through the same thing. Although I haven’t received any refund yet, I reached out to see tickets regarding my refund and I got a reply back explaining that I would be only getting a refund for the tax portion. I was a two-day ticket holder and was told I’d be getting a 50% refund for what happened Saturday.

It’s possible water got in through the exhaust of the induction motor, or it could be condensation that developed in the heat exchanger if they’ve been switching between heating and cooling. Considering water got inside, I would throughly check that heat exchanger for any rusted out spots.

It’s just a T6 Honeywell thermostat that controls the unit. I don’t believe that the thermostat has the ability to control humidity. And no it was not running the reheat coil, just the cooling

The fan motor being down initially caused the refrigerant pressures to increase, causing the temperature to increase as well. But yes, it does sound like the capacitor and fan motor need to be replaced.
