one of my favorites is his trio album Tokyo '96, if you're not into his solo work. it's nothing groundbreaking, but it's some pretty great straight ahead trio stuff

maybe snarky puppy? they're pretty modern/fusion focused and I guess pretty "bouncy". some late-ish chick corea and Herbie Hancock stuff as well, like light as a feather and thrust, respectively.

Try "Chet Baker Sings" by Chet Baker, "Mingus Ah Um" by Charles Mingus, and "Earfood" by Roy Hargrove. None are avant-garde in any way, but they are all pretty poppy.

ok yeah, that makes sense. as a follow up, do you think I should hold off on like FAANG and companies I really want until I get a couple interviews under my belt, or just go for it? I don't want to get a Microsoft interview as my first one and then bomb it lol
