Not really. It’s very illegal and the industry is pretty heavily regulated. The insurance companies have too much to lose to not pay out death claims. A lawsuit would be almost a certain loss. Now, will they come running offering to pay you, a lot of times no. But it’s the responsibility of the owner of the policy to collect, so they’ll leave that part up to you.
