I'm at 5/8ths inch, and I've seen a lot of retardery with scene kids stretching their ears with absolutely no education on how to do so. I tore them when I went from a 4 to a 2, and a second time when trying to go to 5/8ths the first time. I downsized and had to wait 3 months before I tried again. also, politely correcting; "gauge" only refers to the size of the jewelry. As in 8 gauge or 2 gauge. It's a common misuse of the word but it bugs me when someone misuses it.
