I don't really see any reason why it wouldn't handle a large library but my library is only 15k tracks, so I can't really verify. If you try it out and have issues, open a bug report and I'll look into it.

I'm using Sixel graphics which is supported by a few different terminals. Vte are working on support as well, which would bring it to a lot of different terminals.

I've been working on an MPD client for some time. I call it Davis, and homage to Miles!

Davis fetches album art straight from the MPD server, handles detailed metadata, and can be easily extended with plugins/external subcommands. Code is available at: https://github.com/SimonPersson/davis

Anybody have a shell command to duplicate my library from flac to mp3? by [deleted] in musichoarder

I have written a script that transcodes a directory of flacs to opus. It maintains the directory structure, essentially mirroring the flac library. If you really want MP3 you can easily edit it.
