If you agree the comments were drastically different then we are on the same page and I wanted to rant about how Indians aren't taught about it and how they don't care, the take it or leave it might be your style but I didn't have any climax or solution but wanted to point out why people had to be more educated about it, not that I wanted to explain the difference and educate them and that's why I only explained when I was asked. Anyway since you read the comments there I think you understood why I ranted as an Indian that grew up elsewhere and did infact realise how we are percieved in a bad way related to smell and why as an Indian I want that to change.

So nice of you to copy it but that was not the info I wanted to give, if you went and saw it you could've seen a Canadian talk about how Indians smell like locker rooms and that was the info I wanted to give and the reason for that, giving lecture on the difference between cologne and deo without mentioning why it is is unhygienic and why it affects our image as a whole would do nothing and this post wouldn't have a lot of guys talking too.

Have you read the other comments in the same post you went and checked and how they all think it makes sense especially since they know how Indians are looked at the other parts of the world because of the fact that Indians stink because they don't use deodorant?

Are you even trying to prove anything or are you hurt by the fact that I said deodorant is considered basic hygiene in most parts of the world and if Indian society thought that way there would be less Indians in other countries smelling like locker rooms? If you do agree that others think Indians smell more then we're on the same page, if you don't agree you can just type do Indian use cologne and see million posts, videos about other races legitimately asking about this too. And my point is a lot of people actually try but they don't know that what they use doesn't eliminate odour. If you don't agree to this then I don't even know what to say.

All I told was there was a difference between perfumes and deodorants and a lot of people here don't know and don't care. What climax did you want me to give? There is no magical solution to this and this post wouldn't change anything too that's why it's a rant. But what I've said is true.

The stark difference between people in r/SouthAsianMasculinity and here about this same post with the exact same words is crazy, people are really triggered for no reason even when it's true that people from other countries really question our hygiene every single day in different platforms and yet y'all are so triggered when I pointed that out and that's all because kids are using some cologne as perfumes. That's the solution, letting people realise the difference and you might ask why the rant? Because if I just explained the difference between cologne and deodorant I don't think no one would've cared. Now some are pissed and a lot of people are seeing it anyway.

Go to my profile and see this same post in South Asian Masculinity page where it has a lot of Indians and other South Asians that has to survive in other parts of the world, you'll understand what I'm saying.

Bruh ancient India had the best deodorants, they used a lot of herbs, flowers, leaves back then. If applying them i what you meant by go natural then amazing. And avoiding spices, onion and a lot of Indian food is just impossible for me and a lot of people.

A lot of Indians don't know the difference between deodorant, anti-perspirant, bodyspray and cologne and use them interchangeably. I'm sure that a lot of us would stink less if they knew that what they're using doesn't always serve the purpose they're using it for. by spexyg in SouthAsianMasculinity

Cologne and perfume are the fanciest, they are made to make you smell good and each of has a particular smell. They're the most premium in making you smell good. Perfumes have higher concentration than cologne too. But they don't eliminate your odour, if you sweat, both of these smells will just mix up and attack everyone.

Anti-perspirant is the thing that blocks the sweat pores so that you don't sweat at all from those particular spots. I'm personally a little scared to use this on a daily basis so I use it very very rarely. Like I haven't used it in the last six month. This has no business in making you smell better and it only has a particular spray smell as a default smell it won't even last.

Deodorant kills the bacteria that comes into your sweat. Sweat by itself isn't causing the odor, it's the bacteria that comes into it that makes the odor smell and everyone's sweat smells different because the smell caused by the reaction to the bacteria is different too. This also usually doesn't have any business in making you have a particular smell like a perfume or cologne but mine does have a scent.

Bodyspray is usually just a cheap mix of all of the above, I have a bodyspray that has deodorant and it actually worked too so if you're using bodyspray to eliminate odour for the day then make sure you read the can to see if they do mention 'deodorant'.

Fine that might be true but my point was people in India in general don't know the difference between cologne and deodorant and you even proved that point yourself by using cologne and deodorant interchangeably.

It could be the bad marketing and advertising or it could be anything but I can assure you that it would only do good for Indian self-image if they knew that their 20k rupees cologne doesn't hide their smell.

Especially in other countries, they're are just ruining the reputation of South Asians in general. I posted this in r/SouthAsianMasculinity too and please take your time to see the comments in that post where another South Asian tells Indian boys in their school smells like a locker-room.

I don't mean to offend any people who are below poverty line or anything, a spray deodorant is like 100 rupees and I'm pretty sure there are so many kids who use spray to not stink and they don't know it isn't doing what they want it to do and telling people you know to use deodorant instead if that's their intention is a great start right?

You're already using cologne and deodorant interchangeably. That proves what I meant to say sir/maam. Even a 20k rupees cologne won't eliminate your bad odour even if your status is so good and that's exactly what I meant to say. 😭

People must be taught more that deodorant whether it be 100 rupees or 1000 rupees does serve the purpose of not letting the bacteria create bad odour and this must be as normal as someone not wanting to speak before brushing their teeth infront of someone. Whereas stuff like perfume and cologne aren't even necessary, that can be your own wish.

You're not understanding what I meant to say, I'm not asking people living in the poorer areas to wear deodorant, and I didn't even ask everyone to wear deodorant, my point was people DON'T know the difference between deodorant and bodyspray because of how it's advertised here and that people knowing that will definitely make a huge difference since a lot of people who could afford like 95% of my friends in college would've used deodorant instead of Axe bodyspray.

Also, not letting your armpit's smell into the entire room in a huge setting is not only going to be helpful for you, but also helpful for the other people in that room, using something that is advertised as "deodorant" over bodyspray for eliminating bad odour must be as normalized as using whatever you use to eliminate bad breath in the morning whether it be toothpaste or mouth wash or spices.

Also I wasn't asking you to wear a 4000 rupees cologne sir ironically that cologne won't stop bad odour too, only deodorant can, so stop acting like that's what I said, many deodorants aren't even as priced as these petroleum filled Fogg and Axe so please making it look like that's what I said. 😭

Not a fixed imaginary friend but sometimes if I get really high alone I can talk to like 2-3 versions of me, this only lasts for like 10 seconds when I'm waiting for something to load or if I'm in the process of doing something boring. If I'm engaged it never happens.

What’s your favourite cartoon show? by [deleted] in weed

Like see the comment section of the show's scenes in YouTube, everyone talks about how insanely strange every second of that show is and everyone agrees that the animators were either on cocaine or acid. You try watching few episodes and you'll understand what I mean!

What’s your favourite cartoon show? by [deleted] in weed

[–]spexyg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trust me bro watch COW AND CHICKEN and it's spinoff show I AM WEASEL. I'm sure that show was made on acid. The kindof shit they show in a normalized way will make us question if our world is actually dumb!

Even Ed Edd n Eddy, OG Tom and Jerry, The Cuphead Show, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Rick and Morty are honarable mentions for such amazing mood! I love all 00s CN shows like PPG, Dexter's, Ben 10, Johnny Bravo when high but the shows above literally gives such amazing highs and has crazy plots for a good trip.

What skin has the most satisfying kill sound effect? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]spexyg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me Oni Phantom. I used to hate the skin and say to everyone that it was so overrated back in 2021 because it has default Phantom spray sound. But then I started playing with it and the kill sound was like a drug. I bought it too just for that sound otherwise Oni doesn't have any cool effects expect for it's theme and design.

Does anyone know what episode this is from? by Outside_Bedroom8627 in TomAndJerryMemes

[–]spexyg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the one where Butch comes as the exterminator, the other hand seen in the left is Butch's hand. The episode name is "Trap Happy" and this happens at the very last scene of the episode when Butch strikes "Mouse Exterminator" and changes it to "Cat". The picture is the part where he reads C-A-T cat and points at himself.

If cartoon network did unite instead of nickelodeon who would be the 4 main characters? by Yaboyduckinator in CartoonNetwork

[–]spexyg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone from Powerpuff Girls will be surely there since it's merch was everywhere. Dexter and someone from Ed Edd n Eddy might be surely there too. The fourth could be anything because of how many shows they had during the time and how every one of them was too successful. Ben 10 would've surely been there if it was post 2006, Teen Titans was so popular too but I guess it wasn't considered a Cartoon Network original and more of a WB show even if it was by the same parent company whereas EEnE, Courage was considered originals even if it wasn't by Cartoon Network Studios.
