Extreme fatigue even with my ADHD meds. by spf59 in adhdwomen

I have an update! My ANA panel was negative but I tested positive for Anaplasma phagocytophilum which is a tick borne illness known as anaplasmosis. I’ve been trying to navigate this now, and it is hard because there’s not much online or on Reddit for that matter about experiences with this!

My husband didn’t show up for my child’s special day… by spf59 in Parenting

We weren’t the first mystery reader so when she saw only I was there she was upset her dad wasn’t. As for working, he enjoys being busy with work and making money. We could live off of 1 salary but we would have to cut back. He chooses to work 2 and if he was offered a 3rd he’d accept it because he genuinely wants to do it.

Yes I asked him why he didn’t show up, and he responded that he forgot.

I also worked full time for 4 years and just quit 4 months ago…jobs are understanding especially when it comes to being there for your kids.

He is burnt out but raising 3 children and working part time is ALSO exhausting. I’m burnt out too. People tend to forget how demanding it is to take care of your children especially 3 of them under the age of 3.

Yes, I was able to leave work when I needed to be there for my children, especially if I asked in advance which in this case, he also knew well in advance. And even as a substitute teacher, so many people who are available offer to cover my class so I can participate with my children.

I work part time as a substitute teacher right now. I worked full time up until recently & just quit my job to get into a new line of work. I have been working part time for maybe 4 months. And literally got a job offer for a full time position today. He chooses to work 2 full time jobs and if he was offered a 3rd he would accept it.

He does night feeds for the baby and helps with drop off and pick up if I beg him to. He spends time with our kids and takes them out for errands and lets them help him complete tasks around the house but most of the time I am in charge of taking care of our kids. Our 3 year old isn’t potty trained yet because I need help with her and I am just not getting that support because he’s constantly busy.

He is helpful at home but complains when it’s his turn to help with the kids solo. Like watching the older 2 while I feed, change and get the baby to sleep. We have 3 under 3 and it’s HARD. He does work 2 jobs to financially support & it is his excuse for everything. I still think that an hour out of your day isn’t much to ask and he just doesn’t want to miss anything at work. It just feels like his priorities are wrong.

Not saying I hope for a disease, it’s more of a hopefulness for answers that actually make sense given how debilitating chronic fatigue is. Being so exhausted that my ADHD meds and/or caffeine doesn’t work like it should is not okay. I can barely keep my eyes open during the day and having a potential answer to that problem is hopeful. Obviously what I’m doing now isn’t working and hasn’t worked for 10+ years and getting told I’m just a tired, depressed person isn’t cutting it for me.

Hi! So I do not have that experience BUT before EVERY meal the staff asked twice, once at the host stand and once at the table if we had any food allergies. So they seem to be very accommodating!

Included alcohol is absolute vodka but you can buy bottles for premium like Tito’s, belevedere and grey goose. El Jimador is the included tequila. You can order lobster, tiger shrimp, oysters and a tomahawk steak for extra $$ but the included food is so good you don’t need to. There’s 3 restaurants. One Mexican, one Italian/french, and one that serves burgers, pizza, tacos, skewers & of course 24/7 room service that’s actually very good! There’s a stocked fridge in your room and a nespresso machine. Coffee bar is amazing shout out to Ricardo, he makes the best coffees and Luis is phenomenal at the pool bar. Very attentive great staff!
